I mastered a superstock-build Phoenix Hawk-1 tonight. One machine gun more than lore armament.
281 points of damage and two kills is exponentially harder than it is in any heavy mech. But with six jets, when I got caught in a six-mech ambush on Mining Colony and the only way out was through an alley jammed with my team's inbound assault lance, the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound becomes meaningful.
It's also funny when the Kodiak who wants you and your entire family dead can't elevate his guns high enough to get to you before your three teammates-a Jenner, an Arctic Cheetah, and a Locust in red socks-get him. I'm beginning to see a little what it is that the light drivers see in this mode of play.
Shiny and chrome!

Heh, when I was using my PHX-1, I built it in a way that probably infuriates most people. MPLx3, LB10X AC, XL 270 engine. Also, we battle children will do anything to secure honour for ourselves and our fellows, even if we must sacrifice our larger kin to do so.

ERPPC Mist Lynx. Good on cold maps with long fields of vision. You just poptart from behind the assaults or from long distance.
