Argh, I miss my Victors!

Ventured into a game with one loaded up with LPL's and SRM's...got eaten by a MAD-BH. So like the above poster, I find my Marauders much more enjoyable and effective than the Victor...sigh...

The Victor is the perfect storm of unfortunate characteristics:

• Wide chassis, not very XL friendly
  
• Bottom of the assault class weight scale
  
• Hoverjets
  
• Limited hardpoints, particularly energy = reliance on heavy weapons
  
• Limited missile tubes

yeah its the only mech i have ever sold off. although i did buy one again during the assault sale a while ago. I prefer my Zeus in basicly every way.

Man ... after one and a half year of suffering I sold even my hero dragonslayer because the mechbay was better for a mech I actually use.

Played them with my alt account for what mech challenge, and bring out one now and then for old times sake.

Unless JJ's are buffed it's never going to be a fun mech again, and I've seen people get scores with the old ppc guass build, though they sulked at the back and used the team as a meat shield to get it.

As to the meta build displayed I wouldn't use it, i'd either run PPC's with gauss or lpl's with uac5's

The old boom stick and extra's build is sadly better off with a standard engine build, these days, and in doing that you might as well run a Zeus without the boomstick.
