I am building a pc mainly for MWO. 720p on a 1024x1280 lcd (no this cannot be increased) or 1080p on a 60hz hdtv.
What is needed:
CPU& MOBO, I was thinking about the a10 trinity until I saw the cyrsis 2 benchmark
RAM
HDD/SSD absolute minimum storage of 250gb
Video card
Power supply
I do want to overclock.

not specific to the build but will MWO accept dual joysticks?

MWO will eventually properly support as many controllers as you throw at it (as far as I understand).

For the build, you have two choices. The highest-end AMD Trinity chip should be a great starting place. If you're actually playing at 720p (which is by todays standards a very low res) the GPU built in the chip should handle well, but we have yet to see CPU benchmarks for Trinity.

Going with Trinity would allow you to buy good quality components and something like an SSD while staying in your budget. Shortly after when you have more cash you can buy a discreet GPU.

The alternate path is probably going to be an Intel i5. If you go the path of buying a discreet graphics card immediately make sure the focus of your budget is heavily in the direction of the GPU. A $700 build should have room for a $200 GPU. I suggest AMD for their value unless you get a good deal on a nVidia card. Make sure you look at a wide variety of benchmarks as GPUs can heavily differ on per-game performance.

While I would normally point you to my BoTW thread, I will make a more customized option given your intents, and your stating you do not need an OS or optical drive.

One last bit of advice, is if you can wait for the Vishera FX-4370 or a 4350, I would recommend going with the piledriver chips for AM3+ if you can wait, otherwise, going Phenom II BE will be your best bet.
