Back in the early 1980's as a young boy (I'm 43... TODAY!), I watched a movie on HBO a few times but for the life of me I can't seem to remember the title.

All I remember was there were smaller stature humanoid swamp monsters (4ft tall?) that looked lizard like, and they lived in a hot boiling pond in the middle of some South American jungle (iirc). Eventually, these monsters attacked a compound at the end of the movie and the characters were saved by a Huey helicopter.

Anyone have any memory of this movie???
