Blizzard. 100 man team, takes months to deliver a map/hero. acceptable.
PGI. under 50 man team, not deliver a new map every month. not acceptable.

You know DE is like twice the size of PGI, right? You do know that DE really does ignore there community to a much greater degree, right? Jesus, Nekros and Titania are so crap right now...

What I mean learn from DE that PGI should learn how DE approach interaction with its Community. Also make better management on developing to make better game. I was at Closed Beta when DE still small team but now DE it's now growing due it's success.

Just read the dev response here on the forums. A simple question gets this kind of response; taking time out his day to type all that. Having strong community relations and rolling with the punches with negative criticism will create a game people want to stick around and enjoy.
Little to no community relations, Russ, Paul, Brian, etc hiding behind they're community manager, complete lack of direction with the game is going, and no risk to add some spice to the game (npc's, new tech) are the reasons once avid players like me have now moved on.
Okay those of you above, discussing Blizzard's ability to spend $100 million on advertising, or that Blizzard is huge, or other aspects of distinction from PGI...Chevy said right at the start: BUT THAT IS BESIDE THE POINT.
The OP is not making an apples to apples comparison of Blizzard to PGI in all things, but merely pointing out that Blizzard, in the instance illustrated by the link, showed responsiveness to community questions, and that such community relations effort have a lot of value; which Blizzard appears to recognize, and which a PGI ignores. That's it.
I swear to god people just don't read. If you aren't going to even read the OP then wth are you posting for?
Edit: Sorry, but these forums are exclusively designed to allow me to waste time between client calls and projects at work. If people keep missing the point of them, or derailing them with irrelevancy or personal issues, I'm going to have to go back to wasting time with politics and news, and that won't be good for anyone.

Edit: just to be clear, anyone who been familiar with Blizzard since the early 90's and the departure of Blizzard North and the acquisition by Activision knows where Blizzards emphasis is and it's NOT on customer satisfaction.

Why are you laughing? Blizzard does care about its products. Starcraft series, Warcraft series, Diablo Series, HotS, Overwatch, they all show level of polish that clearly indicates that the company cares about its products. Sure, the end result is money, but having a good product is what beckons the money in the first place.

That can't be the case, for one big reason... this game is a dumpsterfire. It has bad graphics, and overly simplistic gameplay in spades.
And frankly, I can tell you've never played Starcraft, or Diablo.

Blizzard cares a far as it equates into sales $$$.
Insofar as Diablo 3 is conserned, they sold products on the loyalty to the franchise and the discount given to WoW players who got D3 for free for a years commitment to WoW.
Since then it's been an unmitigated disaster.
Blizzard is in decline, it may take another 6 to 10 years but mark my words here.
I called it for Id software back in the Q3 days and everyone said I was nuts. Where is Id now, a subsidiary of Bethesda/ZeniMax.
And that's where Blizzard will be once Activision is done bleeding the name.

That is what good businesses do. PGI only sees $$$ in mechpacks and microtransactions. Customer service and communication are not seen as revenue generating tools.
Iron Heel, on 07 September 2016 - 06:57 AM, said:
As opposed to MW:O, who sold everything on the loyalty to a franchise?

MW:O is bleeding players, and has had the same basic unfinished gameplay for its entire existence, so...

I have no faith in how DE interacts with their community, especially with the recent rollouts and botched nerfs (they call them "reworks," basically lying through their teeth) of subpar frames. The success is more word of mouth at this point.

6-10 years? After the insane success with Overwatch and still showing that they are the only company that can maintain such a huge MMO? Will be gone after a merger with Activision, not an acquisition, with the Blizzard part (Vivendi) being the majority shareholder? Sure buddy.

The customization is nonexistent, the tactical play is a mile wide and an inch deep; in the end it neither caters to a twitch player or a strategic player.
All it would take is listening to their community a little more and providing them with what they actually want. Sure, mech packs are nice for individuals because it's something they've wanted to see in high quality and it's more nostalgia than anything else. What the game really needs is good maps, more variation in weapon systems, and a tactical layer that is neither ghost heat or energy draw and makes you actually think about your decisions rather than being stuck in a pigeon hole of game play.
