couldnt PGI just reset everyone's contracts and grey out 8 factions from being picked?

I only see 2 of the top 4 in Clan Wolf atm? :P

Once the FW event is over, FW becomes near irrelevant for most people.

If you have to bribe people with an event for activity, imagine how bad it is at other times.

You are correct if--and only if--the result is an improvement of the game of sufficient nature that those Loyalists forced to abandon their banners (or worse, fight under someone else's) feel compelled to stay. If they decide to play elsewhere, then the net effect would be the same of them remaining split among ten different factions.

Frankly, I have a hard time imagining FW suddenly becoming great simply by shoving people into two groups. We had good (not great, but good) population counts last spring, or even this time last year. But PGI basically didn't touch FW after June 2015 (Vitric Forge release) until Phase III (except to reset the map). So the issues of why those people who were playing are not playing now would remain.

Longer wait times than you have today.

Plus less people than you had before the event.

If you consider that a 'fix'.

How about a solo player only queue for faction play? That would solve almost ALL of the isseus.

I love playing solo and I love playing FP, so a solo player only queue would be great for player like me.

Solo players instead went and created 1 size units to play in Group queue FP instead.

Well, it was also implemented badly, so afterwards it was hard to say if it failed because it was a bad idea or because it was done badly. It wasn't even solo and group queues, it was separate queues for people with or without unit tags. Not to mention doing this when we were split between 10+ different queues anyway.

I do agree on pointing out necro thread, September was ages ago, too much stuff has changed since then, pointless to necro a hopelessly out of date thread.

that sounds like unit que, not group que. in a solo/group que, a unit of 1 is still a solo.

On a more important note, with Sader banned I'm going to pretend that his King Crab build 'Mr. Clamps' was actually my idea, I've dubbed it my Carry Crab and use it to dominate in QP. Doesn't play well in FW because it's too damn hot and actual teams, unlike pugs, won't let you blow 95.5 pts in a couple of peoples faces then back off for a while to cool.

However we do need to take the time to divvy up Saders mech builds as I suspect MS has already divvied up his stuff.
