Depends on when you play. PST Early Afternoons you can see the occasional player get upset for good reasons. I don't blame them, some teammates are really potato here in Tier 1.
I don't support them if they start trying to blame everyone else for their death that alone was their fault for pushing too far (Except on domination, I hate when the team stands back and doesn't get into the circle).

It does mean though you are gradually introduced to players in the new or higher tier however. Back then I was tier 2 for a long time, a third of the time I would see the players that I now see almost half the time as a Tier 1.
Nowadays it's been relaxed so that Tier 1 players are matched with all the way down to Tier 3-4 players I believe

Every game I saw mechs moving to the usual spot for the map sitting behind buildings, or using the we hug us all in unity formation. Which is not bad thing at all, but when you say on voice coms where the enemy is, call out out a lone enemy heavy/assault mech in the flank and nothing happens, when you call out they are pushing us through square X and no one reacts apart from some running away, some staying or the counter is a line formation where the first mech in front drops, then the second and so on. guess I need to exercise myself in patience.
Damn and can't play now, because PGI's damn server has issues. Yes PGI people can't download your game from this site at the moment and your launcher does not work at the moment!!!

Are you playing FP? Then that might explain it. Some folks take that mode way, way, to seriously.
If not, then no.
As a T2 as well, I can honestly say that I have never seen anyone being particularly "toxic" any more now than when I was T3 or other tier. Out of some 6000 matches, I've seen maybe 10 instances of someone being a real d-bag, and honestly all but 1 was over a year ago when I was well and truly in the underhive. Maybe another couple dozen matches with some really impressive drama queens, but nothing particularly offensive or hostile. The rest? Just normal run of the mill folks, occasionally talking a bit of smack, almost always when warranted or to be funny.

I really wish faction warfare seperated large groups from solo players and small groups but sadly it doesnt

First game he was on my team and we got stomped, second game he was on the other team and they got stomped.
Yeah, it detracts from my enjoyment of this game having guys like that on my team.
I won't berate people in chat/voip when I see that, but I might make a "really?" comment.
