Faction play WONT let you join anything else faction wise till your previous mission is over, even if you're completely dead and exited.
You want MORE people playing faction... locking them out of faction play for a long time isnt condusive to that.
Whats the reason why?

Just forget this nonsense I wrote above. I deeply apologize.
The deep murky muds of having to pug my way to this FW challange opend my eyes to how terrible it can be to have to wait for bunch of crybabys fighting more against each other than against the enemy.
PGI please unlock the second third or what ever drop deck from the ongoing game so I rise and shine again when the marauding hords of puglords have forgone an other game.

I've done 2k-3k damage with 6+ kills, and died with one wave still to go, many times. Because I cant be bothered to wait for ******* to die I sometimes quit. Its really ******* painful to watch potatoes trying to learn how to pilot a mech. So I'm not always sticking around.
It would be fun to drop right into a new queue cos the wait times right..
But.
Perhaps it's good that it's like this, so that those same potatoes cant just drop n die and do that same **** all over again. PErhaps when they are forced to atleast wait to the end of the match there is a possibility for a learning experience..?
Dunno why I even post this. . drunk? bored? both?
Peace.

this does happen. you get half the team hiding in the rear while the other half are up front fighting. there is always those 2 or 3 people at the end of the match who have 3 mechs left when everyone else is dead. they go "lol im still alive and your dead, you shouldnt even be talking" or something like it. but what they dont realize is that they too are dead, when they are alone against 12 mechs, see how long they last. then they go "stupid team, you should have done nothing like me" and their scores are always pathetic.
if you die, you should be able to exit and join a new match after about 20 minutes in. especially if you bought additional decks. what you dont want is people dropping, using all their mechs as fast as possible, then moving on to a new game in order to farm lp/rp/cbills. people do that in qp, but if they played as a member of a team vs as a greedy, selfish pug, they would probibly get higher scores on all fronts.

Most pugs I drop with do not bother to defend their drop zone. It is easy enough for an enemy to flank around those 'teammates' busy protecting their paint job and engaging the replacements. A common enough tactic.
Also, Scouting.
