This is a build I am working on and need advice before committing C-Bills:
4 mlasers, 1 lrm 15, 1 srm 6, 3 ton lrm ammo, 2 ton srm ammo, 3 heatsinks, artimis, endo steel, ferrous Fibrous, max armour, rest of tonage goes in engine. It upgrades to a bigger engine that's 72 mph.
I'm currently using a HBK-J with 2 lrm 10's as a supportive mech but find myself lacking for close range encounters. That's why the SRM might help me out.

The FF upgrade is a waste.. and stick with lrm 10x2.. and I still run with the standard 200

Mixing LRMs and SRMs is a bad idea. Decide what range you want to play at and play there and be strong there. As much as it pains me, LRMs are the answer on the 4J. I recommend a couple of 10s and an XL255 to help you keep in the 200-400 range with some backup lasers. I liked a TAG and Artemis on it too because I was doing almost entirely direct fire (the ability to do that from cover and control range is what makes the 4J semi legit with LRMs).

Your build is a jack of all trades, master of none.

Other possibilities: Remove BAP put 1 ton armor on right arm and replace the tag in head from head to right arm. The free half ton you can use to put armor on left arm as shield or put half ton ammo. (Reason to move the tag from head to arm because your missil lock follow the arm aim not torso aim.)
The 4J only has one viable build with the lrm 10 quirk. Otherwise other mech are better suited for other builds.
