On the first battletech novel I had read, the decision on the thunder rift, there is a scene where Grayson was being chased by the troops and he and tor were escaping and finally saw the marauder....I have the right music for that scene:

I like this first novel, I think because of this novel I put my interest in battletech. I have read the trilogy as well. Grayson was such a bad *** man, remind me of Mad Max.

General discussion or Off-Topic discussion might be a better place for this type of post

I would say community hyper pulse generator for any of the BT discussion threads.

Random side note: what mechs did Grayson and Tor have?

There was a Combat Simulation Scenario (objective based battle) in the 1980s BattleTechnology magazine where a Marauder is hunting a Dragon and some other mech and the two Non-Marauders had to escape after starting with quite a bit of damage. Not sure why but for some reason that was the first thing I thought of.

Or was it the Marauder had to escape the Dragon and Archer? Yeah quite certain it was a Dragon Archer duo.
Okay it definitely isn't the same scenario/scene.

BT the mag has a lot of "out of the novels" battle scenarios to play on tabletop.

I am pretty sure Grayson Death Carlyle was not in a Mech in the mentioned scene.

I think the mentioned scene was right after his fathers unit the Carlyle commandos were destroyed, and Greyson was on the run with pretty much nothing.

Carlyle later salvaged/captured 2 Locusts and eventually a Shadow Hawk which he piloted for the final battle if I remember correctly.

that was, I think, the first Battletech novel published
