Just like in real life.
I have zero problem and I'm running a GT 730 on medium settings.

Buy one monitor per map.
yes...because that's obviously the same as hitting escape, taking 2 seconds to adjust settings then resume at the beginning of a match...

Caustic fights happen usually at close to mid range. I generally have no issue with spotting the enemy in NV, even though my eye sight is pretty bad.

Youve NEVER run into the guys that hang out on the outskirts and snipe with erll beyond sight range? Cause I see that nearly every time I drop in there. And Im tier 3 which means i match with everyone

When I go outside I have to deal with stuff like Rain, and Snow and Fog and every once in a while smoke. Where do I turn all that crap off?
I'd love for PGI to make code the game so the effect are at the lowest settings and simply get better detail at higher settings. but that would imply competance and coding skill .

nice strawman, trying to compare real life with a video game.
and not even a simulator

What do all the winners have in common - good visibility, free of clutter, consistent lighting. Why is this the winning combination - they make the game more enjoyable.
Want to attract more players - make the game enjoyable, want to make the game enjoyable, make maps with good lighting, free of clutter and with good visibility.
Fun needs to be the meta.

And I would disagree. Every Mechwarrior title has been a simulator (as much as the graphics of the time would allow) with people going so far as to make cockpit surrounds to make it even more so.
Battletech isn't a simulator.

and the devs would disagree with you. The game used to say it was a simulator, when it became no longer one, they removed that description from the game's web page.

they also call it a battletech game.
they also call it a "thinking-man's shooter"
I could also give a crap what they think seeing as what they have done to this game. And Russ' "we don't want or need player input" comments

From my experience Caustic is basically nascar until one side collapses, most of the time. And whenever I see some pesky Light/Scat sniping with ERLLs, I simply tell my mates to ignore the bugger and focus on the bigger fish, and nascaring.

Night Vision is good, though you can't see the long range snipers because the draw distance cuts out at a few hundred meters.
Does heat vision work on that map? I thought it would be too hot to work?

You can use heat vision, it will change the environment bright and the mechs beyond the usual draw distance black. Its how those long range snipers see you.
