Hi there folks. I was hoping I might get some advice. I've been using Teamspeak for 9 months now. When I installed it, I remember there was an option to add Overwolf to it. I declined that option at the time. However, I thought I might give it a try now.

I went to the Overwolf website, and I have to admit I can't make heads or tails of it. Is Overwolf one program, or several dozen? What parts of it do I actually download for MWO? Is there a manual or help document for the program?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just download Overwolf - whole program.

I did, it overlays on installation from memory. I don't recall changing any settings etc, it worked right off the bat.

Teamspeak should have an overwolf installation button on it.

It should be a wolf face right under the permissions button

Just click the install Overwolf button at the top of your Teamspeak menu.

I'm not really sure what it does.

Overwolf? It's an overlay, with some extra features (this is why TS doesn't have its own overlay any more.) At its most basic - which is the only thing I use it for - Overwolf pops up little notifications on your screen telling you who is talking in Teamspeak. It's very useful, because you don't have to keep track of which voices are what - people will often sound the same, especially if lower-end sound hardware is involved at some point.

I recommend using the overlay, and ditching the rest of Overwolf if it doesn't appeal to you - I have never, for example signed up for Overwolf, or signed into it. =)

How would one do that? Is there a set of check boxes during installation or something?

No, there's a button on teamspeak. It's right after Contacts on the icon toolbar below the "Connections, Bookmarks, Self, etc." menus - thing looks like a stylized wolf head. Just click on it to install, the first time, then click on the wolf head after you start Teamspeak. Overwolf will pop up as a small little radial menu that folds into the side of your screen when not in use, with buttons for video capture, Overwolf chat, and a little wrench for settings.

You can drag the Overwolf icon over your screen to re-position it; it'll look like a small arc on the side of your monitor - just mouse over it to see.

Once you've started Overwolf, the overlay should be active. Simply don't use any of the other options. ;]

Please note that if you're using Windows10 like I am, most of Overwolf features won't work ... not a single plugin has worked for me, the basic "Crescent" is there but the overview doesn't work, etc.

Might be a new version in devlopment tough.

Hmmm, well, since I do know most of the voices of the 12 (at most) people I drop with and during a battle I really do not care if I do not know someone, I'll pass but thanks for the info.
