But it seems the link is broken. I only get an empty sarna site if I use it.

This link work for me http://www.sarna.net...om_(BattleMech).

Medium class version of the Gargoyle. Disregard weaponry, acquire speed. Posted Image

40 tonner moving as fast as a locust and with the ability to boat at least 10 ER small lasers based on some configs. If it can manage to cool itself off with any sort of decent speed and actually hold max armor with those 5 tons of weaponry then it could be scary.

Still waiting on the Pouncer though.

You know the Phantom is an OmniMech?

So you can not change the engine. And it comes with an 360 XL-Engine.

Link is broken, try this one http://www.sarna.net...tom_(BattleMech)

Edit. Pgi's web link tool is broken, you will need to cut and paste the link

On the actual topic op the refusal war was 3058 era whereas the bushwacker was 3053 so you may be waiting a while.

Ah, I thought Battlemech and Omnimech were two different things. Didn't realize OmniMech is a type of Battlemechs.

Information is ammunition, I guess.

In MWO terms BattleMech and OmniMechs work in different ways.

BattleMech full customisable. OmniMechs have fixed parts, like the engine.

In BT the main different between BattleMechs and OmniMechs are the Omnipods. So you can swap easily the weapons. A BattleMech can not switch his weapons so easy. Normaly you need a fabric for more than little changes.

So yes they are two different things but the main term is BattleMech for both (OmiMechs are only a Subcategory like the Quads). This is the reason Sarna list them under Unit Category BattleMechs and not under Vehicles. But you can fillter the list so you get only the OmniMechs. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Main_Page

Crap, I'd play it. No jumpjets makes me sad, but that helps balance it against the viper.

Well, 3052, so the time period is right.

Also, the clans are getting the linebacker, which was introduced in the same TRO as the Phantom.

I can't speak for everyone, but as a lore-hound (and my first exposure being in a cave in MW2 Ghost Bears Legacy), I think I can give a solid "BattleTech Lore Approved" to this request.

You know the Phantom and the Linebacker are in use since 3052?

Just look at the sarna stats. And no the TRO 3055 is not the date the Mechs are getting into production. Some of the Mechs where in combat years before the TRO list them. Like the Shadow Cat. In use since 3003 but listed in TRO 3058.

Oh and we are in 3053 not 3052. PGI said this but I can not found where.

Edit:
Sorry I misread a point. I thought you said the Mech is not approved for MWO:

PGI doesn't know or care about what year it's supposed to be.

I have no doubt the mech would be hilarious to play.

I also have no doubt that it would be pigeonholed into a single loadout configuration revolving around ERSLas. It simply does not have the tonnage to play around with other configurations, which is very similar to the Viper in that respect. So, pro: fun to pilot. Con: basically only one good configuration.

I wouldn't personally mind seeing it in the game, but if we had to install a second 40-ton option for the Clans right here and now, the Pouncer makes more sense.

While the Viper, which we have, trades firepower for speed, the Pouncer trades speed for firepower. While it looks like a big Adder, and while it has one or two stock omnipod configurations that mimic the Adder, it has the potential for up to 11 energy, if my memory serves, has built in additional DHS, and has jump jets. This makes it play more like a lighter, faster Nova. Or, perhaps, a Clan Blackjack.
