New to FP and was wondering how Experience is distributed through the mechs used in a match?
I just got out of a game where, as I was dropping in my 4th mech (literally falling out of the drop ship), we won.

XP distribution was ALMOST divided evenly between the 4 mechs, including the one I was dropping in when we won.

Why? Shouldn't the XP be divided by the contribution of each mech? I know that 3 of the mechs I used were trials, so they got slightly more XP than the one I purchased, but the fact that the least amount of XP I received was awarded to the mech I did the best in (Hellbringer), confuses me.

It's evenly distributed towards all mechs that you used, any mech that you never got to use does not share in the XP. I have no idea why it's evenly distributed rather than taking individual mech performance into consideration but it's not the worst thing in the world.

If you did poorly in a mech you want XP in than you can make it up by performing better in the next mech to give that mech more XP than it would have otherwise earned.

Sometimes it seems more like wieghted distribution and time-in-mech than anything, heheh.

Yeah sometimes I have 6,000xp on one mech and 3000xp on the other two.

Probably has to do with seat time or score somewhat.

No. Due to double XP on mechs you are in 1st win of the day.

well first the points are split evenly across all dropped mechs. then any mech that has a 2x bonus or special bonuses attached to it are applied. also if you dont use a mech in your deck, you keep your 2x bonus. so you can drop and end up with weird point distributions.
