Despite recent criticism concerning the quality of faction play, I'm sure the recent event has contributed to a lower population in quick play.

I find it hard to believe that there are so many players in FP that QP would be noticeably affected. It would have to be like hundreds of players, right?

Well lets not forget all the folks running the PTS that PGI has provided for us and encouraged us to use (by having non-stop events in the live server since the PTS went live). Well, okay, so maybe only a few dozen players are over there instead of in the regular QP queue at any given time, but still, numbers add up.

There were over 100 attacking and over 100 defending most of the weekend on the Jade Falcon front.

But MWO is not the only game to start dying off there have been quite a few huge games doing the same thing. STO-Defiance-WOW-WOT-ETC.

Faction play event + Energy Draw Public Test + Solo Queue + Private Matches = Long queue times + "This game is dying!" speculation
