It's a mini assault. I feel like I'm piloting a KDK-3 without being guilty about it. It's glorious.

has very little space to work with, but can still do dual gauss with 3 erml quite well. the jade kite looks like its literally made to use 2 erppcs and a gauss with a TC 5
disappointingly tho the quirks are tied to complete omni sets so playing mix and match wont get you that sweet 25% erppc velocity unless you use that whole set of omnipods.
plx pgi if your gonna do anything un bind those quirks so you can properly mix and match.
i think gauss with 2lpl and 4 erml is gonna be the go to build or something along those lines.

Really wanna try and squeeze out 40-50% velocity with the c var and a tc

the chassis does not need the quirks if you adjust hardpoints. the quirks are there to give you the option to keep the mech with stock omnipods, instead of building every variant the same way, like it is with every other omnimech safe for the viper, which uses the same system.
stop crying about it and be thankful to get more options without crippling yourself.

not complaining just noting that other omnis have quirks tied to the pods, here it would make sense as well because the arm pods already look balanced by some not having arm actuators but less hard points, so they should get those quirks, otherwise the left arm with 3 energy and actuators is better than the other energy arms in every way.

Anyways try to stay on topic and don't criticize other players for their opinion on a forum for expressing your opinion. More input!!!!!!!!!

is not bad, especially at long range, id wager it beats out the timber snipe hands down from sheer velocity and the ability to pack in 4 jump jets. also, works well on hot maps unlike most dual erppc gauss snipes

Why not just do dual gauss + 1 ER PPC on a different variant?
I don't know, Timber has the mobility advantage by a mile.

Don't you end up with 2600m/s Gauss and 2000m/s ERPPCs? Wouldn't call it a perfect sync.

try it before you knock it all im saying. at 1+ klick it performs exceptionally

plx note smurphy needs correcting, there are upper arm actuators in jade kite that take up those 2 arm crits.

id say each has their own place
at closer ranges (sub 1000-800m) timber has the advantage with better ground speed (to reposition) and better energy mounts (A pod) for quick hill humping, but its going to have to rely on its ERPPCS more then gauss to not take damage.
at far ranges, or in a defensive fight where the enemy has to come to you (boreal cough) the night gyr holds the absolute advantage with much better weapon velocities (IE easier to hit targets way out there) and the ability to get into sniper hides the 1 JJ sniper timber S cant get to.
but i can tell you ive come out on top against every sniper timber ive encountered so far, that could just be player skill, however its probably because im hitting them at 1-1.5 klicks with ease while they have to account for travel time at such a distance.

Overall, its not a good mech.... slow, slugish, heat problems (as any other clan mech) and people will use it as a sniper, and even there are alot better mechs as snipers...
I regret buying this one
