Confirmed... Would think the default state for this field that hasn't been initialized by some other value (like Online or Last Online:...) would be "Offline" (assuming that's the problem here, of course).

and could you really not have any better data then starting with right now moving forward ?? You can't pre-populate this field with activity numbers already ?? would it really be that big of a stretch ??

Aff, this is a pretty useless tool at the moment. I was hoping it would give me an idea of literally when the last time unit members logged on; whether it was last night or last month. This kind of information would be very useful to unit leaders especially now that we have to spend C-Bills to recruit new players so getting rid of inactive players who have not been on in months would keep costs down.

But I do not think PGI keeps track or wants to take the time to access this information. I emailed support a week or so ago asking for the last logged on date, which they understandably told me to wait until this patch, but mainly to get a list of when each warrior joined the unit. I was told that that information was not available. I would have thought it was a simple database search or something, but I guess not.

Yep it's broken.

But then is the whole friends list, that has never updated correctly and it's likely using the same code/method to populate that area as well, given it's following with the same issues.

Also scrolling through it, the GUI overlay is laggy/tearing and not really fluent at all. It jumps and jerks around, feels like a big afterthought.

The 'Status' system in Member Management uses the same system as the Friends list, and unfortunately inherited some of its bugs.
We have an array of fixes coming in the next patch that should address a number of issues in the frontend/main menu, this issue included.

Ok thanks Alexander.

Is there ever going to be a fix/patch or otherwise that makes a friends list update correctly?
The only way now to really find out who is actually "online" is to log in/out of the game. If you've been playing for 3-4 hours, often until you message someone, they appear "online"

Yeah the fixes coming in the October patch will address the Friends list issues as well.

Awesome! That will make such a huge improvement for people, small it may seem but something everyone really gets annoyed at.
