I'm looking to get some advice on which heavy mechs are hard to get a headshot on. I've got a teammate who is absolutely killer with headshots that I occasionally have to fight in 1 v 1's and we will be using heavy mechs. Any advice on which heavies are hard to hit headshots on?
Preferably looking for something that can brawl.

If your teammate is consistently getting headshots he is probably cheating, just sayin. That being said, check the hitbox localization thread under guides to see all the hitboxes and find the one with the smallest head.

Not really, he's just running dual gauss and nothing else exclusively for a while. I've even helped him find the cockpit hit box in the training grounds on some mechs.
I wouldn't say it's probably consistent in the sense you are thinking. I mean he gets one every second or third match sometimes, even if it's not a kill.

Paint your mechs triple black..
Do not pick timberwolves or catapults when you 1v1 him... Since those have their head hit boxes located center mass.
Maybe if he is Gaussing, just sacrifice an arm to him and only face him after you hear the gauss round impact.
Close in and then Srm splat him? Maybe a summoner?
Or shake his screen with either c-uac spam from a night gyr? (kodiak or dire wolf if your willing to try an assault.)
Just try to keep his moneyshots on your arms until your ready to unload on his face. Because if his aim is as good as you say, you really need to bait out his shots, because he sounds scary if you give him the facetime.

Thinderbolt is still one of the best IS brawlers in my option, though the head hit box on the Warhammer and Marauder even are smaller.
Still, you will also want to avoid IS XLs considering any shot that misses your cockpit will still hit your torso.
