You're doing it wrong! Cataphract is still a very capable mech and I think giving it masc is just the shot in the arm it needs so it is no longer overshadowed by the newer mechs.

It's why I love running my EXE-D, I couldn't get into "Bub"(if you ever watched X-men you know who I'm talking about)
because MASC didn't leave much room for weapons/ammo.
It's Nos for mechs. lol

I think phracts' extemely low hardpoints is somewhat mitigated with good hitboxes and quirks though..

How about if you gave it MASC?
Still no?
I love Phracts. I am not excited about this Phract.

Heh yeah I realised short after posting that the Spirit Bear actually has 520ish with MASC, but I dont own it or any EXEs so I'm still exited about the first heavy with MASC.

You never see cataphracts or awesomes anymore. PART OF the reason for this is the change in weapon-sizing making their bulky barn-door torsos even worse. For the phract add to this that your main weapons are generally speaking torso and arms and are low-mounted and there are just so many better options.
Except for the 3xLB10x muro. Little money maker that thing but the nerfs over time have kinda made it too slow or XL reliant so the KDK-3 trumps it in spades. (and 4x lb10 is all I ever wanted but that's way off topic)
Many of these mechs (the ones where the elbows and hands take up crit slots) were designed (in the lore sense) to be able to raise their arms up or straight forward and other things that you can't do in MWO. Mechs like especially the marauder or muro or anything like them.
TLDR why can't I override my arm actuators? Mech's with 2 arm actuators would gain tremendously from this and it would add some flavor to the mechs that isn't weapon-related. Convergence is wonky and crappy as a mechanic now anyway so I don't see a problem with allowing for both.

All of this talk of MASC and insane speeds for a weight class is just making me think of the Firemoth. I'm not happy.
