Besides, World of Tanks only gave us some free XP, PGI is giving actual usable items, xp and ingame cash.
(I once had a 27 game losing streak in WoT)

Its PVEs fault; Cuz if we didnt have PVE the puggies could play PVP and git gud right?
??? Umm, we don't have PvE. But, we do have the Training session. Pretty much covers everything basic except shooting UAVs. Weapon ranges, grouping, targeting, movement. You know, everything you still see not happening in T1-2 games. Lack of hitting the R key, firing weapons beyond range, etc.
Don't need PvE to not be a suicide rush derp, block your team's shots, figure out why certain players say UAV and then shoot the glowing thing in the sky that doesn't have a blue dorito over it, etc.

I can not tell the difference from an event match from a non-event match. They both play and look the same every time.

We understand the requests for less personal challenges to avoid the solo game-play behavior as well as the weekends-only theme.
We'll see what we can do to make October different and stand out from the last couple recent events.
We probably won't have an event this coming weekend, however as we plan ahead for Oct, I'll read up on Event Suggestion sub-forum at the same time. It's also nice to hear what you guys have enjoyed in the past to hear out what you found fun as well and push more towards that style.
Otherwise, brand new event ideas might be fun to try out as well. Your reactions and feedback will depend on if we will continue similar ones or try something new again.

OP is complaining about pugs being even more of ******* compared to their normal playstyle, during events. Which is very valid concern. During this event pugs were much more eager to hunt squirrels, instead of focusing on winning the game. I drop-called most of my matches, so I would know.

Events focused on winning the match should help teamwork. Though I imagine some people would cry on the forums when they cannot seem to win.

It doesn't really work "as is" though as we've seen that type of thing before. It was compounded worse when you had to live through the match.. which totally changes how people play.
The best you can ask for is something like this:
Get X amount of points (maybe 20 as an example)..
+1 for winning (because that matters)
+1 for achieving Y match points (aka doing your part)
That usually makes things easier for people to deal with.
You can even do something more expanded..
Get X amount of points (maybe 100 as an example)
+5 for winning
+2 for achieving Y match points
+1 for each KMDD
+1 for every 3 assists for that match
It's not that complicated, but apparently that thing that was done a while back is totally Lostech.

Don't do another personal challenge involving LRM's though. It gets irritating real quick because some games you get a team who won't shoot down UAV's and you get lurmed over a hill to death (even if it results in a win it is one of the more annoying ways to die), or you have team FULL of lurmers and lose badly because of no armour sharing, cowardly play.
How about a more teamwork centric event? Assists, light/medium/heavy protected, lance in formation etc. Or something more elaborate.

The problem with challenges, leaderboards especially, is that people do not act with enlightened self-interest. They try to game the system, not realizing that cowering behind their teammates will not efficiently allow them to achieve the challenge goals - nor produce the kind of scores needed to be successful in the leaderboards. Ditto with racking out the LRM launchers and camping over the horizon. Playing aggressively and as part of a team yields the best results, but currently the game does a poor job of conditioning those behaviors in normal matches, so when players try to game the challenges, they do it in exactly the wrong ways.
PS: In before some idiot chimes in with "want to buy a 'mech pack."
Want to.... Oh ...
*walks out dejected*

they are still gonna say you're not listening or reading feedback. JK, I personally don't care to much for the event's but trying new things is good. Keep playing around with idea's that's all anybody can ask.

Small, daily challenges would be nice. Teamwork-oriented challenges would be better. But really, the whole game is built around being the guy who does all the damage and gets all the kills.
