I run 8 SPLs on my KDK-1. Along side it's UAC20 it becomes a beast at close range. The SPLs are actually kinda cool if you fire them in pairs of 4. It even has a LPL in the chest for longer range matters.

I sold my KDK5 as soon as I received it. KDK-1 can do the same stuff with more options (and as I have the collectors pack, with a cbill bonus to boot!); Pure laser KDK's are silly.

Except on the PTS with boosted SHS. There a kdk5 can run insane shs/laser builds due to being able to pack like 40+ SHS.

I build one with 46 SHS, XL375 and 11 ER-Med.
Fire 4/4/3 on the PTS and the heat is not a big problem.
Shuts down after 180 dmg done(academy, not moving). But the disipation is meh :/
I thinknDHS are the way to go, even on the PTS.

I have 8 MPL in the 1 with the rest heat sinks. Works pretty well and is on par with the others. While the 3 is fun with quad LBX, this one is actually my favorite currently.

Do you guys somehow play on servers where the KDK-3 does not exist?

1 Gauss and 3-4T ammo, 4cLPL.

I run that, forget the variant. Works well.
