It's a light mech. That presents a problem for PGI's accounting department...

That's what they said about the IS Urbi, no joke, they really thought it was not worth it, then we had a fundraiser, people put up the cash, and we now have Urbies.

The IS Urbie is more iconic than the Clan one.

Also, IIRC the IS Urbie was the first mech to use the new model of having the base pack always cost $20.

When it's a choice between a cheap (C-Bills) light for $20 or a decked-out Clan assault for $20, one of those is a better deal than the other...

I'll buy the Urbie IIC, just because it looks fun to play and I have an excuse to fit a light with an LBX20 and some other random crap in my garage

I know, right? :P Makes me sad that these second line machines are so much better than the omnis in this game :(

Agree. It is really sad how badly PGI messed up lore in this game. The best mechs and most customizable mechs, the Omnimech turn out to generally be the worst and least customizable mechs in the game. Go figure.

I'd pay twenty for clan urbies. I find it funny that my IS urbies turned into hard core mode while in stock builds while the locusts became my favorite light even dropping my love of the jenner-d to number two. My clan jenners would welcome the clan trash can.

I think it would probably be the least sold mech pack ever.

Can you think of a mech pack that was less popular than Urbie IIC would be at this point? Maybe the Phoenix Hawk, possibly. But that's it.

On the other hand if they did the Phoenix Hawk IIC...

Why would you strip that much leg armor on a light mech?

My gameplay involves not really much running around, it's more of assault escorting. Enemies usually don't pay attention to the Urbie, when there's much more powerful mechs around you.

Also flanking, which involves not exposing your legs, you show up then you're gone after a shot.
