i have got to say Anti90d has the most comprehensive suggestion and I am starting to lean towards the Dragon Fire.

good catch Levi Porphyrogenitus on the stalker legs. I had forgotten about that.

It would be nice to have an Inner Sphere heavy with ECM that wasn't locked behind the real-cash paywall of being a Hero.. and wasn't a knuckle-dragger like the Cat-a-fat.

(The base Dragon Fire comes with ECM.)

People, remember that the Crab and King Crab are not in the same class as the Stalker and Cicada. They have real arms, for one thing. The Marauder is more in line with the Crab line than the Stalker one.

True, but arms aside a Marauder looks a lot more like a Locust or a Stalker than a Cicada does. The Cicada is a box on legs, the others actually have some shape.

@Dillion Harper- I like your contributions to this thread. I consider them vital information.

Also, I just went one by one through the 60, 65, 70, and 75 ton mech categories on sarna and did not find anything better.

The pattern I saw was bricks/boxes on stilt legs... so catapult or marauder.

Someone that isn't blocked by Russler on Twitter should spam him pics of the Dragon Fire and make the case for it.

It really is a sexy mech. It also looks like it's very well endowed..

let the schlongpocalypse begin!

unfortunately:

"never made it to production"

"helm memory core"

"3058"

so we got 4 more years to go.

The Marauder IIC had no variants made until 3059. Russler has proven that he does not care about the timeline.

An IS ECM-on-the-base-variant heavy with decent mounts would sell like hotcakes.

varients are one thing, but this is a mech that was never built in antiquity, it was designed and then stuck on a computer somewhere, and that became part of the helm core. the base varient of the maurader iic did in fact exist prior to the existing timeline, only the varients are fiction because pgi's infernal 3 mech rule. no dragon fire was actually built until 3058, so there is no one varient that exists in lore at this time.

if things went your way i would fully expect xpulse lasers to come with my bushie. now that would be awesome wouldnt it.

I so totally wish that MWO had been pitched as a 3060 game, at its inception.

I don't know why chicken walkers get such a bad rap when you have humanoid walkers that "run" like little boys tryin' to make it to the bathroom without wetting their pants.

Lil Boy Knight is proof of concept. I won't name the others.

All of them are chicken walkers (reverse knee), all of them have little stubby "wing" arms, and all of them even have a 6 laser variant. I just cant think of a heavy mech that fits in the pattern.

Also it can be mech that is not in MWO.

Does there have to be one?

It's a VERY random problem you have.
Like saying "OMG, there's a hero variant with a 'y' in its name for every weight class except lights!"

Oh and the catapult would indeed be a very good fit.
If you object it despite your very random requirements, you seem to not want any solution for your funny problem.

Strange people exist, unbelievable ^^

Why do you think he has a problem, exactly? He just sounds curious about 'mechs, and doesn't know all of them -- that seems pretty fair to me, there's quite a few 'mechs out there.
