It would be immensely useful to know if that Atlas on my side is LRM boat, or brawler who will push against enemies with me. Or scan through friendly 'Mechs mid-game to see who has lost what weapons, and what weapons he has left.

Most of the times, I get yelled at for going attack speed over attack damage, even though they both achieve roughly the same result. (on an AD champ that is)
I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like choosing PPCs over Large Lasers.

Depends on the champ of course.

Have you really been called out for taking ppcs over lasers, other than shooting at targets under 90m?

I rarely get called out because we either win and no one spectates me, or I'm the first to die.
Not to mention that at tier 3, people still tend to play for shits 'n giggles rather than to win.
I have been called out for using LRM20s though.

Not everyone realizes that lrm20s are worse than lrm5s. They were just trying to help.

Well, the stock TBR-Prime uses 2xLRM20 so that's what I use. Unless of course I can fill those missile racks with 8xLRM5. Which I can't, hence 2xLRM20.

One game I played had a convenient feature where you could ping your build into chat. Then you could save the build into a build library. Then you could swap builds instantaneously.
You could also draw on the minimap for other players to see arrows for where to go or lines for a firing line.
You could essentially "double R" to announce in chat who you were attacking. Very nice for focus fire.
Still, in that game, people didn't share builds in the random arenas. Some tourney players didn't even want their builds shared there or to allow people to record their matches.
And maybe the people here just want to know what the assault mech is carrying, but there are absolutely people who are not here who will use it as an excuse to

5s are still more efficient and waste less ammo. Its like building attack speed Darius- you can do it, but there are better options.
