When you buy mechs, they come with bays. So why buy mech bays. if you have extra bays can you use them for something? I have extra bays and wish i could sell them.

Another question.

I have mechs I cant sell. I paid for them in packs and some are worthless crap mechs and now i cant sell them. HELP!!

When you buy a mech with C-bills (in game currency, rather than real money), they don't come with a mech bay. That's why you have to buy them. Ultimately, it gives PGI a little coin, and is far cheaper than buying all the mechs.

As to your first question - Most of the time when you spend real-world money on a 'mech it comes with a mechbay. That includes 'mechs bought in packs and the like. However when you use your hard-earned c-bills to buy a 'mech, it does not come with a mechbay. You have to have an open one to store it.

As to your second one, I believe that some 'mechs bought packs are non-sellable, which in the grand scheme of things isn't so bad seeing as how you've paid real-world money for them and selling them for in-game c-bills is maybe not the best exchange rate. Let them gather dust for a while. Revisit them in a month or two and maybe balance will have swung more in their favor.

Only mechs in packages (or as rewards) come with bays.

Any mech you can't sell...you probably shouldn't really. But if you really want them gone, I hear support can remove them (though I think the bay goes too).

You do realize that you don't have to buy every mech with reallife currency and that there is a store ingame with ingame currency?
Although, if you do buy every mech with reallife currency.. thx for supporting the game!

Some are locked to their mechbays, usually those with experience of c-bills bonuses.. although you might not need any c-bill bonus mechs.
Generally, when you can't sell a mech it is because it is a unique mech that you can only get on special occurrences or you had to pay $/€ to own it Hench, you can not get it back for free.

You can write a ticket to the mwo support. The supportstaff will remove the mechs you don't like but you won't get any refund be it ingame currency or reallife currency spent.

FYI:
When I asked support to remove my loyalty Wolverine and Quarantine, that later I of which I had received as a result of buying some MC (both mechs were not sell-able) they removed the mechs for me but left me the bays. They even sent me a heads up before they modified my account to make sure I had the opportunity to strip the mechs. Incidentally I still have the MASC from the loyalty Wolverine and it appears that I could sell that if I should choose to.

Thanks for this.. I was wondering it myself. I have a clan only account that will be getting the Black Jack Loyalty mech, but i have no desire to use it on that account, but would love the free bay! So down the road a bit, as i don't wanna flood um with requests when they launch um, i will ask um to remove the mech,, I'll just strip the parts and sell um first. though selling wolverines makes me sad Posted Image

OP: Just FYI, those mechs you have that you can't sell, ALWAYS have a +30% c-bill modifer. Any clan mech, you should beable to build it into something you can use, And the IS mechs, i would honestly keep just for that reason. You never know how your tastes will change down the road, or what changes will be made to the game in modes, and game play, and balance, and that mech might become your favorite. I know many mechs i didn't like for a time, now are some of the ones i love/play most. Others that were once my favs have sat for years.

Those special ones once removed you can never get back, so i would highly suggest you don't remove those outside of very select situations.. like in my case, a IS mech on a clan account, Wish i could transfer it to my IS just to have 2, but ya can't do that.

with the cost of mech bays, IMO it is just better to buy more bays if you can afford it. For instance, i have a ARC prime, and EXE-B on my clan account. I bought the wave III pack which i now have duplicates of both, and i am still torn if i should sell um.. It's always nice to have an extra mech you can keep another build on. The EXE though has me wondering if i really need 6

As an aside, do not expect to get many mech bays from events unlike the past. Since Supply Caches were introduced, mech bays as part of event rewards have been non-existent to the best of my recollection.

Yeah. The Mechbay supply has constricted across the board in the last 12 months or so.

Okay, there's some craziness here that needs some serious clarification.

Lets begin:
Only mechs "won" or "Bought" from the website come with mechbays.

Those bought in the game do NOT come with mechbays (EXCEPT if bought in a "mastery Bundle" or whatever they call the Starter packs now; and even then the packs/bundles bought in game don't come with MechBays, MechBays are actually part of the purchase and part of the price with 150 MC (50% off) per mechbay and the bundles having 3 of them.)

So:
From website: Extra MechBays included for free.
From Game: Must have your own MechBay for singles, for mastery bundles you're charged for 3 additional mechbays at 50% off.

Edit: I couldn't even English, so I Englished.

Special mechs bought in packs cannot be sold (S,R,I variants etc) but support can remove them (remove all their equipment / mods) and you keep the bay.
