While I won't argue which is better, the HBK-IIC with dual UAC10's is a beast of a mech capable of dealing solid assault-level firepower, sustained. I personally find it way, way more threatening than laser vomit hunchies, which while possessing decent burst are heatcapped very quickly.

Yeah, I can imagine that's better than the UAC20 variant, because you get more lasers and more room for heatsinks. It's the only HBK IIC variant I don't have, because I wanted the variety of the 3 other variants and I didn't have enough mechbays for all 4 variants. Kind of tempted to sell the missile variant and get the one with 4E and 2B instead.

What's not to love about the missile variant? Thing's absolutely savage, and one of the few 'Mechs that can carry a great alpha and still have room left over for enough jets to actually jump instead of hover.

I just felt that it didn't have the super concentrated missile blast of a Griffin, and I feel like the SplatCrow is probably a better SRM boat. I perform twice as well with my GRF-2N or GRF-1N as my SRM HBK IIC.

I like the 4B/2E, personally, as it allows me to mount both UAC10's together. I'm normally a symmetrical build guy (both because of OCD and to protect from being left useless if someone hammers the wrong torso) but in this case, having perfect convergence for the dual UAC10's is worth it; and for a dual-UAC10 build, more lasers doesn't help you - the UAC10's are all the damage you need, and extra heat from lasers isn't really worthwhile, as the UAC10's do a way better job of converting heat to damage.

This. I loathe the missile variant personally, and for this reason. My SCR-PRIME(C) w/ 4xASRM6 and 6xERSL is far, far more lethal. Having just two lasers CT mounted is gross; 6 ERSL's in the arm mount have better aim/reaction and hit like a truck. It's hot, but it beats the ever loving carp out of the missile HBK.
