Locusts Are "op" But...

I understand dying to a light is annoying, they are often built for harassing after all, but chances are, if you kept track of every chassis that killed you, you would usually find it was that Kodiak, timber wolf, or Warhammer...not the light mech.
PS. Please give us a new light mech soon PGI!

A. I do not typically like humanoid 'Mechs
B. I have no nostalgia for it
C. I have no use for a 20 ton Phoenix Hawk
I will accept nothing that isn't a Raptor, Locust-IIC, Firemoth, Flea, and maybe Piranha. I know all of these will be either good or interesting. There is nothing interesting about a Hornet or a Wasp.

I mean, I could see the IS getting the Javelin. That would be a very solid 30-ton combat light for them. A good addition, and sharing being humanoid and being 30 tons with the ACH, i'd doubt if it was any bigger than the Cheetah. Given it is a little chubby, probably smaller, even.
However, as a Clan loyalist, only light mechs I'd consider would be the Fire Moth or Fire Falcon.
Edit: And maybe the Snow Fox.

Meh. Not big on piloting knockoffs.

But...the Clans hold those 'Mechs they made knock-offs for in high reverence! At least, that's what I've been told.
Real-talk, though, the LCT-IIC would probably become the go-to Light for Clans.

A Wasp/Stinger combo would be the best to play on the nostalgia strings.

But we already have the Urbanmech, so I guess the Flea is the next one we should get.

I would be very happy to see the Flea added to the game. Maybe they will consider it since the concept art is done already?!?!

On the off-chance this isn't a lolpost:
It has locked Single Heatsinks.
And for my own part: it's an evolved Jenner. Jenners are ugly. Jenner killed Nicodemus. Death to all Jenners!
Single heat sinks have never stopped me. I'm legitimately hoping they add the Strider eventually. I don't have problems.

I think so. They will eventually try it surely and we'll get a new light... but I think after it doesn't sell well it'll likely be like another year before we see another light :<

Would be DOA given PGI's propensity for under-quirking Lights that have Jump Jets combined with their aversion to quirking Clan Mechs in general will see to that as it would likely receive little-to-none of the quirks that make the IS Locust "dangerous": The Accel/Decel and Turning Speed. Same goes for the Firemoth.
I can't blame PGI for being extremely cautious with Lights in that respect because a few percentages of Quirks too far and you've got the next-gen Jenner/Firestarter on your hands... Assuming that's the reasoning behind their actions and not general incompetence

Admittedly the JR7/FS9 weren't that bad, but the potatoes would be crying foul with exaggerated claims of "the end is nigh" and "the sky is falling" if they ever had to face one of those in their heyday... Because if they think the ACH is bad, they ain't seen nothin yet. Given PGI's cheapskate attitude toward the Light Mech performance ceiling and their viability, it's not unrealistic to conclude any Light that could remotely approach a competitive stature will be promptly set ablaze as sacrifice to the great potato god... Assuming they werent neutered upon release.
