I stopped checking the forums shortly after the round table. Also I don't check the tweets where most announcements are made.

I'm just curious, has anything come out of it yet? I know the big talk right after were the buckets.... enough that I grew tired of hearing the word "buckets". Making less buckets seemed to be something that could have been implemented at least rather quickly.

We should hear something in 60 - 90 days. No word on when the countdown for that time frame begins though.

They're turning FP into one queue, Clan vs Inner Sphere, aka: The One Bukkit Solution.. and they're turning it into Quickplay maps/modes with dropdecks until one side starts racking up wins.

They had us fill up ~55 pages of FP suggestions and ignored them all because lolRuss.

Its a step in the right direction, the main thing wrong with it is that the one bucket we need is House Kurita vs Everyone Ever.

Russ says he has a FP band aid to put on his great Phase 3 development. This is what FP looks like when you arent the target demographic any more.

I doubt much will ever come of it. We will have other Round Table meetings, Russ wont listen and once again do what he thinks is best.

So I very much doubt we're going to see much of an improvement with FP. Maybe if someone else took the helm but I am doubtful.

Are there any future meetings even being considered? Based on PGI's actions from the last one, will anyone even want to attend/watch?

Exactly. And we shall defeat them all !

But realistically, the reduction of buckets will not solve the problem with Faction Warfare - or whatever it is called. It is like putting on ear plugs because the automobile's muffler is completely shot.

That's the plan man, they had their round table with basically mercs and as you can guess mercs don't give a crap about factions so now factions are removed.

PGI knows that the moment new Battletech strategy game hits the market all the players interested in the lore and factions and who don't only care about mech-on-mech action are going to call it quits and who knows when they'll be back. That's why they are going to cater only to the crowd that cares only about stomping the other mech team without context whatsoever.

It took a month but there was a podcast of what PGI would like to do.

Announcement regarding what PGI will actually do and when implementation is going to be is coming "soon" or "at MechCon", whichever is earliest/latest (circle one)

I would like to think that PGI came to their senses...then I realized this is PGI we're talking about.

So...

How long ago was the round table?

The first of many round tables to come, right?

Correct me if I missed something, but the only change of note has been the first significant long tom nerf that should have happened within 24 hours of it going live.

What is happening?

Town Hall Announcement-->Formal announcement/scheduling: 2 months? (I don't remember)
Formal Announcement/scheduling-->Round Table: ~1 month
Round Table-->PGI's proposed changes (NGNG Podcast): ~6 weeks
Podcast-->announcing patch-day: Soon/MechCon (Pick whichever comes last)
Announcing patch-day-->Patch day: 3 Months (W.A.G.) / December (make your choice based on how optimistic or cynical you feel
Patch day-->Town Hall Announcement Roadmap announcement: 3 months (based on roadmap timeline)
Repeat.

Real life, company doesn't have time for a computer game. Tournament is more important. Although there was podcast that touched this topic.

I think exactly this might be the case.
They'll do an other flavor of quickplay and then wait how much Battletech enthusiasts exactly will remain when Jordans Battletech game goes live (and exactly how deep the pockets of easy come easy go twitch shooter casuals are that russ would like to be his main customer base).

As I remember and I believe,

Round table was about two months ago.
Was only the one and no more.
There was a pod cast over on ngng twitch with Russ, I think it's the first one with"Russ" in the title.
This will go over what is going to happen.(two buckets,quick play maps and so on)

Per Russ Twitter few days ago we will have an update to FP(Merc warfare) soon.

Guessing we might see changes as soon as next patch? (I hope not)

Edit
https://www.twitch.t...ngtv/v/88166396

Should be the pod cast on what will be happening . Skip ahead until you see the screen chsnge,starts like around 15+minutes in.

Thanks for the responses.

Isn't that podcast list a month or more old?

I was hopeful that there was a new podcast I missed.
