You guys who are worried about everyone fighting over their Huntsman kill/KMDD shouldn't worry. Sure there will be some imbeciles who go chasing after a Huntsman for all they're worth, but people doing idiotic stuff is nothing new. Hell, during the Cyclops and Night Gyr challenges, I was in many matches with more than 4 of the newly-released mech.

There's no reason to think it will be any different this time around. Just playing 3 or 4 matches a day and playing normally will make it almost inevitable that you get a kill or KMDD against a Huntsman, unless you really, really suck.

Actually, Faction Play matches also don't count for the Huntsman Pilot Challenge, which may make it more difficult to get kills or KMDDs against them there. This might be in error, since I see no reason why FP matches shouldn't be eligible for this challenge. I agree with you though that these discrepancies shouldn't themselves kill FP for the duration of the event.

Scratch that, I guess an incompatibility arises between FP matches and the Huntsman Pilot Challenge due to multiple chassis contributing to the final match score.

We are down to 80 match score to qualify for loot bags? I remember not too long ago arguing with someone about dropping it from 250 or 200 to 150, and he was saying that was participation trophy level. Now things are so bad we need to drop it to 80? But, I guess I shouldn't be surprised since I keep seeing games like this in solo PUG.

Firstly 15 matches is a lot to play in general. If the game is "torture" for someone they shouldn't be playing 15 matches straight, the bags aren't worth that much.
Secondly, if you can't get yourself 80 match score on the losing side, YOU ARE THE REASON YOUR TEAM LOST.
But I agree the way Tier works isn't great, because it's harder to rank down than it is to rank up, so some players are ranked too high. It's much more consistent than we used to have though,

Well, another way to look at it is, people who are playing 15 matches a day are keeping the game alive and should be rewarded thusly.

Related, what kind of odds/probabilities are we looking at for the various rewards in the goode bags anyway?

There shouldn't be any incompatibility between the Event items and Faction Warfare. Risking your Huntsman Chassis in Faction Warfare should still come with rewards, just as there will be for those hunting the Huntsman. PGI should not take it away from those doing either LeaderBoards or Piloting. Like, didn't PGI recently demonstrate that they had managed to track most elements of matches better than before, or was I daydreaming?

Only if the Night Gyr is not affected by stepping in lava. Otherwise, they have a new issue on their hands. I've seen the preview videos, and things ain't looking pretty.

That's what I was thinking, then I noticed rumor of another Event. The start time is basically smack down on the heels of the 1.4.85 (October 18, 2016) Patch. I hope PGI doesn't blow their servers to hell with trying to fire off 6 different and distinct overlapping Events.
