

Why Revamp A Map When You Could Just Add A Complete New One?

why not do like we did for alpine? instead of getting rid of the old map if this new map is almost a complete redo, why not just add to to a pool of maps that is growing?

I'm legitimately going to miss old TT, just as I miss old Forest Colony and Frozen City. I also miss old Caustic, just because I could see enemy mechs on it.

Cose' that way, you get the feel of a new map for half the price, and they get to fix any errors that made the map unpopular.. also, they get to show off all the latest like time of day, dropships, and a few new breakables.
I don't mind the map overhauls, but we really REALLY need a few new maps. Not one. A FEW.

Alpine's one of the worst maps in the game and we kept that around. Therma's also one of the worst maps in the game, so it seems natural we should keep it around too.

To be honest, if I still had to play 12v12 on the original, tiny Forest Colony and Frozen City maps, that weren't really big enough for 8v8 in my opinion, I would be upset.
Whenever I play TT these days, I just charge the middle of the map and die as soon as possible, so I can start a new match. Which isn't even considered griefing, because the map design is so bad that this appears like normal behavior.

No one votes for the original TT so it's like it's been removed long ago. ( Outside the odd vote multiplyer staking accident ) If the redux fixes the issue of the original, I won't miss it.
I understand people say more is better but for instance, was having two Frozen Cities ( day/night) come up in the voting rotation a good thing ?

They could have added maps and left the old ones in.
Just let them come up as voting options on lower rotation.
The two changes I liked were river city and the bog. But all the rest...
The new frozen city is a totally different map that emphasizes a totally different playstyle. It was not needed to take old frozen city out of the rotation. The new caustic valley sucks with all the clutter on the ground and poor visibility. The new forest colony is also foggy and the fight is never in a different area. The changes to crimson straight also didnt make the map any better, gameplaywise.
Why are we stuck on this number of maps now? Why isnt a map added every 3 months?
It would reopen my wallet if we got new maps, or even the old ones BACK.
They could have added maps and left the old ones in.

Why would we want two Terra Thermas? The new one should be taking the best of the old and cutting out all the cancer.
And if you ask me Alpine should have been deleted and every hard disk that ever stored a version of it locked with 4096 bit encryption, thrown into acid and then nuked from orbit.
