So we know who we are looking for with torches and pitchforks..

I thought the heavy event with the night gyr was bad.. now they are putting out the huntsman leaderboard only 2 days after release with a concurrent event for people to kill huntsman..

Do you really hate us that much over there at PGI? Do you hate yourself? Or do you have some severe fetish for causing pain? Does everyone in the office walk around in studded leather [REDACTED] chaps masks and vests? Are riding crops, whips, and other flogging instruments standard office supplies? Does the office masseuse walk on your backs in 6 inch stilleto heels?

Really who thinks up this [REDACTED]. i DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD BE FACEPALMING OR LIGHTING A TORCH.. Gonna be tons of fun trying to get some kmdd in a huntsman with you being focused down out of the entire enemy team.. Yep thanks for the giant bullesye on the head of our mechs.. CAN WE PLEASE GET FREE BULLSEYE DECALS FOR OUR HUNTSMAN OVER THE HEADS JUST SO THERES TRUE INSULT TO INJURY HERE..

At least we should all thank our huntsman buddies for taking all of the enemy aggro away from us and giving up free kills while they frantically try and get thier event kills.. I wonder just how many teams are gonna have people that lose thier mind and quit shooting kodiaks so that they can shoot at a huntsman playing peek-a-boo with them..

I don't really see it as a big deal...then again, I don't have a Huntsman.

For what it's worth, it's probably easier to level mechs a few weeks after they come out, rather than when you're driving the new toy. Still gotta finish my KDKs and I pre-ordered mine.

Is it really that big of a deal?

If it's anything like the Night Gyr, no one is going to ave to go out of their way to kill one a day. You couldn't get into a match without tripping over 6 of the damn things.

Oh, it's a big deal alright. I couldn't run my Night Gyrs during the leaderboard event. Whenever I stuck my head out, even if 2 Atlai were in front of me, people would intentionally go through hoops to shoot at me instead. I'm pretty sure the Huntsman won't have the armor to deal with that sort of focus fire myself.

I'd personally equip 8xCLRM5s and stay out of line of sight during the event, if I had a Huntsman. If they want a piece of my mech, they are gonna have to work for it.

You know what these new 'kill the new mech' challenges have gained us?

No more endless 'New mech X is Overpuwrd, PGI nerf NOAW!!' threads after a release. Everybody realises that it's possible to kill these newcomers with just a bit of practise and familiarization (who knew, right?), and that's a good thing IMO.

For the pilots piloting the new mechs it's Hardmode Engaged, that's for sure though.

It wasn't nearly as bad as you described, I leveled 3 Night Gyrs during the leaderboard, and the tiny bit of added pressure made it all more fun Actually, I was quite happy to see so many people coming after me and ending up with a load of UAC10 rounds in their faces - that really helped with my leaderboard scores It will probably get much worse for the Huntsman, though. During the Cyclops and Night Gyr events, the objective was to score just one KMDD. Now you have to score at least one kill or KMDD per day for 10 days. It's gonna make life difficult for both sides, PGI should have set a much lower bar (like a total of 5-10 KMDDs over the course of the entire event, for example).

No spices added.. just some colorful garnish to add presentation to the bitter reality..
