My best worst match ever was the very first time I ever drove my AC20 Raven. I dropped on HPG and ran (waddled?) up to the middle with everybody else, went up the ramp like everybody else... and instantly died to an artillery headshot because, y'know, one point of head armor. I never even saw the enemy, and I'm pretty sure they never saw me either. Zero shots fired, zero damage done, zero doritos filled, just flaming hot death by magic red smoke. Even the guy who dropped the strike didn't know what happened at first.

That sounds like an accurate description of modern IRL warfare to me.

Pretty sure Locusts don't carry enough firepower to two shot a Kodiak, unless he caused a CT ammo explosion or something.

We're talking 6x small pulse usually which is 24 damage per attack. A Kodiak has 62 plus 15 from quirks internal structure, more than enough to soak two volleys even ignoring your rear armor.

If he's carrying gauss rifles then one alpha to each rear ST could do it.

Could be worse. Here's what happens when you try to flank a Warhammer in an Urbanmech, apparently.

At least you got shot more then once.

To be fair, It would help matters if you could actually move faster than the Warhammer. I forget how to play the game every time I play. Unfortunately, all it takes is me being able to remember my password.

I've done worse.
  • Getting conquest points confused.
  • Countless brain-farts of heat mismanagement.
  • Getting ahead of the team when push is called.
  • Losing a leg to falling damage right in front of the enemy.
  • Falling through the Crimson saddle into the hornet's nest.
  • Giving up my scouting position by firing the wrong weapons.
  • Chasing a mech twice my speed instead of locking it and calling for support.
Looks like you got spotted early and surprised by the flank. It happens to all of us, though in this case I think it falls more into "getting boned" than "I should have known better" since it was Domination. Committing a lance to a light on the edge of the circle doesn't seem like tactical genius.
