OK, my mech starts in reverse and randomly attempts to go in reverse throughout the matches... any use of the typed chat will immediately drive the mech into full speed reverse.
Has anyone experienced this and what is the solution?

I haven't even heard of this issue yet. But to gather some extra information, are you using throttle decay or not?

What he said, plus, are you using mouse and keyboard, joystick, or whatever other forms of controllers that are available?

Many control problems like this in the past have been caused by unused usb devices.

In answer to the questions:
I am using mouse and keyboard.
I usually do not use throttle decay, but have started using it because it cuts down on (but does not eliminate) the problem.
And, finally, I have many unused devices plugged into my USB ports. I will try some game time later with all of them unplugged. :)
