It's a symbolic concept, but I'm sure some people can deliver PGI a real one... because reasons.

Havent tried the others but the BJ-2 is fine to me, 2 mid lazor and 4 asrm4's works quite well.

Better than being a completely pointless change


Explain how this can possibly improve anything? Nerfing non-relevant mechs, and giving quirks to mechs which will never mount the weapons?


Now, 1.5% isn't a great deal, but it's still a WHY change

At least if they explained it, we could just say WHAT (tf)




There needs to be explanations, but I guess that doesn't come with the Dartboard.

Explaining actions is the sign of a progressive company that values their customer base and are confident enough in their stance that they feel they can explain their rational for a decision.

What does that say about PGI?

They did tell us that after the re-scale there would be a re-quirk. There have been bits and pieces here and there such as these and the adjustments (nerfs) to Mechs like the Nova and Blackjack among others. They also said there would be many more adjustments coming before the end of the year. Combine that with a total rework of the Skill Tree and things could become interesting in the next two months.

Maybe we will understand better how the pieces fit together when we see the whole puzzle?

The whole puzzle....that's ridiculously optimistic but we'll see.

I feel like I've heard this before.

"Wait 'til Steam Release"

"Wait 'til Launch"

"Wait 'til after CW launches"

"Wait 'til someone @ PGI has a clue"


I don't think this waiting game has worked out.

This quirk nerf is just an example of one of many reasons why I wouldn't even consider financially supporting this game right now. Which kills me, because I love the IP, but it's just impossible.

People ignore the biggest reason to use IS AC5 over UAC5 - that extra slot on the UAC5 means you cannot fit two of them in a side torso with an XL. Thats HUGE. Ask the Mauler or the Sleipnir if they would like to run quad UAC5 + XL. Same obviously doesnt apply to clans, because 3 slot UAC5, 4 slot UAC10s and 2 slot/ST XLs, but Clan ACs arent supposed to compete with UACs, because Clan ACs arent supposed to exist.

Having said that, yes the nerf was pointless. None of those are top tier mechs and therefore didnt need nerfing.
