NO. What we want is irrelevant. What we need is balance between the weight classes. This means lightening up on the incessant Assault/Hoovy/Medium requests and asking for more Light mechs, since, you know, ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE WE GOT ANY NEW ONES.

I used to want it, but it'll be awful in MWO.

Slow engine... all the dakka that you can't really use (quad LBX10s are hilariously bad as it is for the Kodiak-3) and low slung arms on a humanoid robot would suck (although I guess there will be high torso mounts).

It would already need quirks to even compete with the King Crab, let alone a Fatlas.

Just no, let's get mechs that'll add to the game or at least be good. The Annihilator would be one of the worst mechs in the game.

Eh... I'd buy an Annihilator even if I think it's gonna suck. But IF, and only IF, by the time it comes out we've seen some new light 'mechs added to the game. Until something 35 tons or under gets announced my wallet is closed.

On a serious note, will it compete with a Kodiak? Probably not, but how many mechs actually do? Not many if any. The Kodiak is in a class of it's own in terms of a combination of firepower, protection and agility.

Going down a level from the Kodiak I believe the Anni will compete well with the Atlas/KC/DW. It will give the IS a mech with greater area denial than any mech before it and being reasonable, that will be the only role the Annihilator will play.

Do I still want one? Hell yeah.
