The best pick up is to save it for a sale.

Mechbays are the first thing you will want to buy in bulk. There might be a mechbay sale before the year is over.

We got decals now, and they are generally cheap. Buy some if you want to decorate your mechs.

I'd say MECHBAYS and maybe some ridiculously over priced colors.

Reason being is that you can eventually get all mechs (almost) for c-bills) but you will need mechbays

If a half-price mech bay sale occurs during the new years holiday, you could buy over a hundred mech bays.

Alternatively, you could buy over 4000 supply cache keys.

Save the MC... start by playing with trials.. and figuring out what you like..

But If you really want to spend some.. The Shadow Hawk Mastery bundle is a fairly nice one. Shadow hawks are nice all around 55 ton mechs with Jumpjets.. You will be able to play around with pretty much all the weapon systems. the mechs are varied enough, and quirked in such a way, you can really play many load outs. SRM, ballistics, Long range, short, medium range.. PPC, AC5's, AC20's ect..

Another highlight of the package is, it comes with an XL-275 and XL-265 engine, which are worth about 4m each, and the champion and hero comes with upgrades.

The hero can mimic the ac20+ 3 ML build, which is a popular IS medium build. or 4ML+AC-10, amoung others. the champion can run 3XSRM4+ lasers, or triple AC2's or double ac5+PPC, 2d2 can run quad SRM 4's or triple SRM6's with lasers. You can also run pulse builds, and other energy builds on some of them. Basically just flexible decent mechs, that can teach you a lot about the game.

Not earth shattering awesome, but very flexible, solid mechs, that can help you grind XP/GXP and c-bills, and do it in style..

the Bundle also comes with 30 days premium time, a +30% c-bill booster mech, +30% XP/GXP booster mech.


Basically mastery packs are 50% off mechs anyway,, so they really are on sale as it is.. Others might recommend other packages, but this one IMO for the price, is hard to go wrong, for just a few bucks more than a month of premium time, you get 3 mechs + 3 mech bays, and a month premium

Buy mechbays as necessary, but if a sale comes by then consider stocking up.

Choose a few colors that you think will be useful (I have parade colors for my unit and camo colors for practical paint jobs, as well as Titanium White for ComGuard drops), and watch for them to go on sale.

Choose a few Hero mechs that look fun or supplement standard mechs that you are interested in playing. Watch for a sale.

Pick a pattern or two that you will prioritize (I prefer Davion for parade paint, and Tiger/Woodland/Urban Block/etc. for practical camo). Watch for a sale and do the perma-unlock.

Pick out a few decals that fit with your theme. Watch for a sale.

Pick out a warhorn or two (I prefer Davion and Cameron Star). Watch for a sale.

TLDR - watch for sales.

One carefully selected mastery pack and rest of mc on mechbays would be best choice. Mastery packs give 3 mechbays and a month of premium time so they're best deal for money you can get in this game. Pity he missed the heavy mech sale.

Im mostly just looking for a solid mech to master, so "mastery pack" sounds like its in my ball park.

ive mastered jenner and jagermech and a bit of atlas, i really like atlas play style but i hate the crooked aesthetic of the glass inside the pit....

really love the mobility on my jenner tho..... between light and assault im thinking heavy is where i should be sitting. (80 ton?)

was looking at the battlemaster pack. (good?, bad?)

heard the kodiak was good but no package deal.... rip......... =_=

depends on how many you own, how many are empty. id just buy them as needed, unless sale, then buy a bunch. id actually save the mc for clan heros, when they do finally come out for mc. that and wait for a hero sale.
