Hi all,

I was quite surprised to find mechs being injected after the mechtoberfests, and only then I learned about the loyalty program. If I knew I would have at least gotten another clan mech to get my two summoners ^^ as I did get the hellbringer already.

However, my question or confusion started after reading further. I only got the blackjack aside of the hellbringer - even though I bought two inner sphere packs (Highlander and Firestarter) through MC, but did not get any loyalty rewards for them.

Does the loyalty program discriminate for purchases through MC? If so, why? Hell, the highlander package was obscenely expensive.

Kind regards,
Yumo

Sadly the packs in the normal store in game are not included.. which is stupid because you need to spend money there also....

These are the packs they are talking about...

Yes, they do. There have been numerous forum threads about the fact the "customer appreciation" measurement is very... specific. For the top-tier rewards, the ONLY way to get them is (read https://mwomercs.com...rewards-program):
1. buying one the massive, expensive Resistance 1, Resistance 2, Wave 1, Wave 2, Wave 3, Or largest/most-expensive IIC collection
2. buying two of the recent "Collector's packs".
3. for clan, buying six of the unreleased Clan heroes... totalling... oh... over $100USD.

Now considering the mechpacks have 3 upgrade paths, they've chosen to only reward one of the paths. It's left a lot of people a little sour. Combinations of them don't work, it's a very targeted "appreciation". Welcome to the world of PGI... where things don't usually make sense, and they're rarely communicated efficiently or effectively. ^^

Sadly it really isn't much of a loyalty program when it is arbitrarily setup to make some peoples money more valued/loyal than someone else. Think of it as more of a sales incentive program for certain items rather than an actual loyalty program.

Long story short: It's not how much money you've spent and how much you've supported PGI.

It's whether or not you accidentally spent money on the stuff PGI is rewarding you for. If you spent $200 on MC for unlocking camo patterns, buying C-bills, in-game mech packs, etc, then you didn't support PGI correctly. You only get the smallest reward.

If you spent $80 on two Collector's mech packs of the same faction, then you won the lottery and you'll get maximum rewards for whatever faction they belonged to.

In other words, it's not really about giving back to paying customers, it's more about encouraging people to pay lots of money for as little content as possible (e.g. 2 Collector upgrades for a total value of $40, which only gives you two special paintjobs and a 30% c-bill bonus for 2 variants). It was a way for PGI to get people to spend more money on the worst deals, basically.

Come at me, white knights. You know it's true.

As others have said, MC doesn't count. You have to pay straight up cash to free these hostages.

Spot on
It's a marketing ploy to get the special paintjobs out of the door

If PGI would want to make it fair on a basis of spending they put in a simple bar that fills up as you spent cash

Ehh

Then again
If I could gift the mechs I couldn't sell I would

Thanks for all the replies guys, just realized I'd still be 40-60 dollar short of the summoners anyway :P not interested in that. Though I got the hellbringer with just buying the kitfox hero, which is not too bad of a deal. Still, it's a rather peculiar marketing indeed which has nothing to do with loyalty.

Essentially, you showed your "loyalty" to PGI in the wrong manner.
