If they give me a Madcat MkII, something I want, for my $20, and this supports the game, that is fine by me.

Harebrained Schemes with the new Battletech game coming next year might be able to use all of the mech assests from this game. They alredy have too, withtheir own tweakings.
So bring it on, let the mechs come.
Sure more important things are slower. A bit sad really. This game have/ had potentional.

For everything else, they honestly don't know how to keep you here otherwise.

Whatever. Everything's fine. CW is well populated because it is so much fun. Mech balance is superb and the Kodiak 3 is just another middling mech. Yeah. More mechs. Just give me more mechs.

Yet another that's seemingly unable to grasp that without new content, there won't be anyone left playing to buy those mech packs.
What's the point of a million mechs when you have no one to play against?

That would make total sense if the same people that worked on balance, level design, and/or other content were the same ones that work on mechs. I know it seems that way because mechs are the only thing that appears to get done on a regular basis, but what really needs to happen is the other departments need to get their **** together.
Ultimately that is likely down to a failure of leadership. They're either not getting the right people or they're not giving the right people clear, obtainable objectives and/or enforcing milestones.

New Content? We don't need no stinking new content!
We just like to look at the pretty mechs and play paper doll with them as we swap weapons around.
