I can't imagine how terrifying that would be. Call everyone you know to help reduce anxiety by getting answers. Hang in there. Look for an official report from campus police. Could be this is entirely non-campus related and happened to occur where it did.
Be safe!

Suggestion. Get in a nice chair, pop open a can of Coke or Pepsi, and spend some time polishing your Colt 45. If anyone knocks on the door who should not be there, you'll know what to do. Meanwhile, find a Dirty Harry movie to watch.

Okay no students were involved in the shooting thank god. So all my friends are safe.
There was also another shooting about 3 hours ago now.

Violence and crime increase when the economy and job markets are bad. High taxes, low wages, high wealth inequality are all contributing factors.
That's what we're seeing.

Yup because France and Germany both have that problem.
And no we aren't. Actually violent crime is at a historic low.

I can't believe you're acting like france is in good shape after the wave of gun attacks they've had.
Germany has much the same problems.
But yeah violence and crime have been on the rise since 2008, the economic crisis.

Violence and crime statistics are defined heavily in terms of political agendas. As are economic statistics like "growth" and "unemployment". Gang violence and drive by shootings are exempt from being categorized as mass shootings. Crime and violence involving knives and baseball bats are never compared to "gun violence and gun crime" on any basis. The media pretends that reducing gun violence and crime means that ALL crime is reduced. There is no legit scientific effort made to verify if crime and violence decrease post gun ban era. And the reason for that is there have been knife crime and knife violence epidemics in the UK and throughout europe and australia in the post gun ban era. Overall crime and violence increased. In australia criminals are better armed now than they were before the gun ban went into effect. Gun control and gun bans are failures and the only way the media can spin that into convincing people of the opposite is to delude people into believing that eliminating "gun violence" and "gun crime" reduces all violence and crime.
Factcheck.org was proven to falsify info 4 years ago in the last election.
The main issue with those who quote factcheck and other biased / misinformation platform is they never know enough to know that factcheck is lying to them. But they still feel entitled to speak as if they were informed and knew the issues, which they don't. At least make some effort to be informed and educated if you're going to talk about issues that affect millions of people.
