Greetings!

My girlfriend Cerridwynskeep and I are the co-founders of Clan Wolverine In-Exile and we’re hosting a 1v1 tournament!

Our unit aims to enhance and enrich players’ experiences through a strong sense of community and to facilitate connections between pilots with shared goals, whether the goals are casual, competitive, or anywhere in between.
Some of our members include long-time veterans and competitive players (former and active), ambitious young hotshots, and total pleb scrub casuals (we love them anyway).
The community that has grownin our humble discord server (aptly named “CWX Community,” link below) is amazing and I invite anyone to join us there!

With the support of lots of great members of the community, we’re hosting a free-to-enter 1v1 tournament on Tuesday 13 Dec 16 at 1800 PST to celebrate the release of the Steiner Coliseum map! The tournament will feature a simple best-of-three single-elimination format with some awesome prizes. Every participant will receive two (2) 24-hour Premium Time codes. Additionally, the top competitor of every Tier (“Top of Tier” reward) will receive 500 MC. The first place overall winner will receive 1000 MC plus a “Solaris Medal” hanging cockpit item!
The tournament will be broadcast live on twitch.tv/cerridwynskeep.

Registration for the tournament is completely free!

Please Register by following the link in the Rules

If this event goes well, we plan on continuing it as a weekly event. Given how many of our discord members are Australian, I'm hopeful that we can host some events during a wider variety of times.

Is the tourney gonna be on Aussie server? Cause my ping is over 300 there. Also, are consumables allowed?

It will be hosted on the North America Server. Consumables are allowed. As I stated above, I'm hopeful that eventually we can host other tournaments on other servers and at reasonable times in those servers' respective time zones.

This is really awesome guys. We don't always need PGI to play host, some of the best events are community ran. Good luck to all participants.

Bump.

Also, what is this Solaris medal? I guess it's being released with today's patch as well?

Didn't know you could gift MC

I bought some premium time for someone as a gift, but I think some MC for Mechbays would've been better for a freemium player

Too bad I an't make it. Doubt anyone wants someone with 2k ping running around in a duel. :/

Gotta love ISP throttling, man.

That reminds me, high lag abusing Light mech could be troublesome in a fair duel. There should be a latency limit. Perhaps 400ms?

Can't make it because I'm guest-streaming on Gimpy's channel about the patch - good luck to all!

Hi guys, the tournament starts in about 20 minutes so you still have time to sign up.

The prizes are being provided by PGI/Bombadil, so thats how you will be receiving them. MC and the medallion are not currently giftable. Also, as far as I know the medallion is unique, but I'm not 100% on that.

Thanks to everyone who came out to participate and support the event! We had a blast hosting it and are very hopeful about the next one. We feel that this has been a valuable learning experience for everyone, in addition to just being totally fun! With what we've gained from this we plan to bring better, more efficient, and exciting events in the future!
