Well this occurred to me, which I am surprised it hasn't to PGI.
As we all know periodically there is a complaint that either Omni or Battlemech are better than the other because, well that doesn't matter.
Well if I understand it right all the clan mechs have 2 names an IS name and a Clan name.
What if they released battlemech versions of the omni mechs under the alternative name. Sell them as a mech pack (people complain enough so should want to put money where their mouth is)!
Look at the advantages:
1. almost no work!
2. a ton of "new" mechs to sell!
Right now I have expressed this god awful idea it can die.

Is there any lack of "new" mechs? If there is anything announced with 100% certainty and regularity its "new" mechs to buy. You want even more mechs to buy?

IS should be getting the Black Hawk-KU (IS version of Nova) soon, though since it is built with IS tech, it will be most likely inferior, even if it is 10 tons heavier than the Nova. http://www.sarna.net...i/Black_Hawk-KU
Hype?

Cause it is a bad idea that will make a lot of players upset. Dim as they are, even PGI's decision makers probably realize that.

All true but I think people will disagree about PGI's decision makers being able to realise it
