They took it away? Why? Like, really, the best you could hope for was an SRM4 or an LRM5. Why would they remove it?

It was never supposed to be there, probably wasn't properly implemented either visually and such.

Is this more arbitrary nerfing from our balance overlord that came out of the blue for no apparent reason to strike a 'mech that nobody thought was OP?

cuz lore said no hardpoint there. Didn't want to set a precedent.

No. This actually make sense. Non-OP or Not. PGI adds hardpoints that don't exist, even by accident.. and leave it, it means they open the door to just adding random hardpoints to any dang mech. It might seem extreme, but gamers, are, by an a large, an overly entitled bunch, if you haven't noticed by the avg game forum. You leave any opening, and you will get more headaches than you could ever want as a developer.

It was never supposed to have one to begin with, someone, somewhere, screwed up. They fixed it.

probably re-used some code or something from the 4X and didn't QA it before release. I mean the thing also launched without it's hand, lol. (Not that a hand actually helps it any)

Would be nice if they gave it a use ie 10% cap acceleration per hand actuator.

I'd rather be able to punch other mechs right in their pretty faces.

It's sad that most IS mechs waste tonnage/slots on hand actuators and PGI won't let us manhandle each other.

great news! Because HBS will be including Melee...those hand actuators do serve a purpose! The ability to do melee in that OTHER battletech game!

I wish they gave the Left Arm a second E hardpoint as compensation for that absolutely UNFORGIVABLE nerf that is the Missile hardpoint removal.

I only want it, because i can't run a single laser in the left arm, because of how horrible it looks with the double-sized box, when it only has one hardpoint filled.

Meanwhile, on the Clan side...

Dear god I hate the DWF, WHK and MDD box slots for their arms. They're disgusting looking. Give us our actual mech arms, not these boxes with smaller boxes sticking out of them!

At least it SORT OF makes sense for Omnimechs, because they're literally supposed to be legomechs with easily swappable equipment.
Battlemechs, especially in their STOCK configuration should not have any empty boxes at all.
