Personally, I'm a little irritated that PGI (ok, 'that' Twitter feed) has gone quiet for the past few weeks essentially saving any news on updates, road-maps and development progress for announcement at Mechcon. I'm actually amazed they feel they can afford the continuing decline in player-base until December ticks round.
So, anyway, other than watching or partaking in the world tourny final and the 'announcement(s)' what are you hoping to get out of your investment in tickets etc?

I'd have gladly have gone to mech con had it followed the normal time frame of other conventions except for a mere 13 hours that doesn't justify the travel expenses, hotel expenses, food expenses, and loss of a week's worth of income. Assuming they make it through 2017 and do another mechcon that does confirm to the normal three day convention I might go but its more likely I'd go to a different con with a good history such as anthrocon.

I don't think it's for nothing that there is the word Con in Mechcon.
People expecting great things will feel hollow by the end of it.
I will still keep playing the game, when you have Zero expectations and can except this is all, people will feel happier, or leave for good, even the forums might stop being to toxic, because the penny finally drops

I'm going there for signatures and to meet the battletech community. I don't have high expectations though. I think we will get Solaris and slideshow on the skill tree. Neither will make me happy because for one we already have Solaris and the skill tree should have been the focus (if anything) last years party when they announced the e-sports tournament...
Hey but I'm going to get Alex's autograph! That man kills my wallet and gave battletech a much needed facelift!

As far as big reveals go, and considering what is though of as "content" around here, probably a new highly-anticipated mech like Madcat Mk2, or something like that. Also the new Energy draw system will be discussed in better detail.
Maaaybe a new map...
That's being realistic. Anything other than that would genuinely surprise me.
What I would love to be announced at Mechcon however, is this:
1) A complete rework of FW.
2) PVE
3) Procedural map generation for FW maps.
4) Custom mech geometry
5) Climbing into mechs and walking around the mech bay out of mech.
6) A new game mode
But as we all know.. that will never happen.. :-(
