ANVIL. This discussion is now over. Thank you all for your time. Now hurry up MW:O and out the Anvil out for pre-order already.

I predict something terrible, like Charger.

The thing is, in MWO the Charger would actually be pretty good. 400 max engine, energy boat with inflated hard points, varied loadout, etc.

However if you'd like a good mech you can always support the Nightstar, Anvil or Assassin. :D

Shouldn't quadrupeds be 150ish tons and be multi player to make sense though? I hope they get added to but AT-AT size. Posted Image

That'd be the Tripods, like the 135 ton Ares (which actually have 3-man cockpits, if i recall correctly).

Quadrupeds are more like bipeds and can have OPTIONALLY a dual-cockpit for an extra ton and crit-slot (and of course an extra mechwarrior), but there are no canonical mechs that have them stock (as far as i know).

Speaking of AT-ATs, well Goliath is pretty close to that. Sirocco too.

YES! This or a Nightstar as far as IS mechs would be great.

I have theory crafted... it actually isn't that great. 36 tons, and would likely go big ballistic and lasers based on the hardpoints. So thats enough for Gauss and 3 LL if you strip armor, which isn't too exciting, really needs endo steel.

Yep, not meta or tier 1.
But it would be tons of fun theoricrafting builds and interchanging omnipods using IS weaponry.
That is, something new

Hopefully they make up variants, most of the omnipods are almost identical

I'd actually pay money to play the militarized version of the Cattlemaster in MWO. Just because it's a light 'mech and also because of the hilarity and absurdity of it.

All those people asking for the Sunder. ( It's was a fine mech in MW3/4 I agree ) Just keep in mind, it will be stuck with an IS XL engine. That's not even 100 points of armor to burn through in order to kill it. Of course, PGI could make it a practical walking CT but would that really be better ?

It is roughly a cylinder in legs. It should spread similarly to a Black Knight sans arms. Extra structure in the STs should do the trick.

Yeah I would expect IS omnimechs to get more quirks than Clan omnimechs based on the inherent weaknesses (no Clan XL).

If we are talking about assaults, look no further than the Thunder Hawk or Pillager, both of which have the best chance of giving the MX90 a run for its money as best IS assault.

More assault class ballistic boats? Eww.

Though if we have to have one of those, I guess the Pillager is better. Age before even more ballistic slots.

Why not the Nightstar? It has higher mounted weapons than both, 400 capable variant and a JJ variant.
