Unless it's the Axman or Hatamoto-Chi, I don't care.

But I predict either a 40 ton mech (Assassin) or a 95 ton mech (Nightstar) because we only have 1 mech in those weight classes right now (Cicada and Banshee) and the community has shown great interest in both of them.

I love assault so the Nightstar would be very welcomed, but I do agree that a light mech would be very appreciated. It's a lot of time since the latest light mech was announced.
Edit: As light I would like Wasp or Ostscout.

The funny part about the Charger is that despite it being mostly a laughingstock in TT it might actually work really well in MWO. An assault with a whole lot of energy hardpoints and the ability to run a 400 rated engine? Doesn't sound like something which would be declared DOA by the numbercrunchers in this game. Not to mention there is such wide variety between variants, got your speedy energy boat, less speedy energy missile jump jetter, slow mix loadout atlas. And bolt on some panels and you've got the Hatamotos...

Are you people sure PGI can make crusader as it would require missile hardpoints in legs and they're notoriously incapable of adding any new content except mech skins?

By placing the SRMs models onto the waist, on the same level as the fists, as in the original art. The weapons themselves can be in the side torsos.

100 percent of people i surveyed said the next IS mech should be the Anvil 60 ton ECM capable, JJ ready heavy mech.

I agree.

Whoa, why didnt i know about this one. High mounts, JJs, ECM.. very nice.

An actually good 60 ton mech? WTF?

You'll be telling me there is a good 80 ton IS chassis next.

Or they could just give my Quickdraws back their pre-rescale quirks. I'd buy that mech. Oh wait.

Since mechs are the only new content, we need variety.

Mechs like bombardier don't bring anything new to the table since the archer and catapult already do everything for that segment.

What we need is

1) super dakka and LRM spam - Kraken
2) super fast IS heavy - exterminator
3) totem mechs - mandrill, cobra, grizzly
4) jumping dakka IS Assault - gunslinger, pillager
5) lights and mediums

And we need

SOLARIS

Sure. But if they nerf merely "good mechs" to make them mediocre, when balance is most certainly not an issue (See Kodiak 3), what makes you think they will allow a future "good mech" to stay good?

What? Do you think the Kodiak-3 doesn't need pegging back? Because id say it IS a balance issue...

The opposite. Kodiak does need to be toned down. Because game balance is at stake.

Looking at my example of Quickdraws however, I challange anyone to find me 1 complaint about the Quickdraw 4H post rescale (or even pre-rescale) being OP. Balance was not an issue there. Yet the QDs have been nerfed twice since rescale. Twice. It was nerfed (like the other non-hero QDs) for some unknown reason to meet some unknown criteria.

You speak of "good mechs" above. I think the QD were "good" pre-rescale and that there was no discernible reason for them to be repeatedly nerfed. Yet you and others trust PGI to sell you a new "good mech" and think they will allow it to be "good"? How trusting of you. In a historical context of what PGI has done to merely "good mechs", I think you are engaging in the classical definition of insanity. Good mechs are always brought low by these folks even when balance is NOT the issue. Why they are allowing a game breaking mech like the Kodiak to run wild this long can only be explained by greed (sales) or incompetence.

Find the mech wanted least by the playerbase, and you'll find the next IS mech.

So, what... Caesar?

I hope it's a light package, just so the light pilots can be happy and stop being so salty over Clan assaults :P

Jk, well serious though. It's about time you guys get a package. Stinger and Wasp I feel would fit well, and make light and old timers happy.

This actually interests me.

If I ever dare suggest battlemechs move in a non-western way, I'll get a torrent of vitriol to " Go back to ******* weaboo gundam land ".

How exactly do you see Melee weapon wielding mechs to actually HIT Things?

Giant robots with swords is as gundam as gundam gets. Is this going to be slow, deliberate sword stances?

Because if Battlemechs don't jet around on the ground with JJs and do gundam things to close with targtes, I don't understand why they're given melee weapons.
