In timeline, normal LRM cannot use TAG guidance or fire indirectly at targets. This functionality was not invented until 3057.

This functionality existed only in the ARROW IV missile until then.

Semi guided lrms are a special munition type that take out and miniaturize the laser targeting system of an ARROW IV into a LRM. These LRMS can fire directly with normal ARTEMIS guidance, but require a laser lock from tag in order to fire indirectly.

Sooo.. Either move timeline to 3057, or make LRM direct fire only like they're supposed to be?

Note that even if we ignore the timeline and assume mwo is using these magical future missiles because reasons, they are still incorrect because they require a tag laser to fire indirectly. Losing the tag lock, even if another friendly mech is targeting, would mean losing the lock.
