Its essential to rub it under clan mates noses.
2.A replay last battle file that you easily can launch via exe and that dont needs much space
in best case. Also this way the spectator tool woud come in handy, letting you roam the
battlefield in different ways and perspectives while you enjoy the replay.
PLEASE IMPLEMENT QUICK d(@_@)d

It'll be a great way for new players to see what they did in the match, what the enemy did, how you died, etc so they can learn from it and get better at the game over time rather than just sending new players to the slaughter each match with nothing learned afterwards.
Plus, using the spectator tools they'll get a more in-depth look of how the match went than they would have if they recorded it and replayed it that way, since it won't just be their PoV from the cockpit.

- Lore
- Story
- Atmosphere
- Character building
- Raison D'etre outside of bragging about ranking
- Variation
- Single player campaign
- Reason to keep your mechs in their stock configs
- Risks involved in using the customization system.
- Memorable soundtrack.
- the elimination of alpha strikes and pinpoint aiming while still using a hit-location system meant to scatter damage over the whole mech at random.
- CW that people want to play

Most of which would require research on PGI's part....like, you know, reading the books. Not going to happen anytime soon.

A replay function... to a point where you could see matches from every point of view? Would be interesting how big such a file would be. Logging every movement, every shot... not impossible but that would require some work *and* server space.

Why? Tiers don't matter when there's not an active matchmaker....or, rather, when the population won't support the complext, broken matchmaker PGI cobbled together on a drunken weekend.

It would be interesting read after those lolwhut matches.... as in "what was actually expected of me this game?".

Yeah I'd like that too.
I'd also like to add
1. The removal or the changing of the "Ready" button since its not really doing anything. It is satisfying to see all people going Ready but happens super rarely and the match starts anyway even if not all has pressed it.
2. More HUD options, because orange and blue is getting stale, I'd pay for MC for HUD color options.
3. Waypoint drawing on the Battlegrid, even just by the Company Commander.

Now... everyone is max T1. Exactly as many players predicted. But PGI knows best, right?
Let's stop the exaggeration. I know for certain that I have played with even T4 player in solo-q, recently. Cause the dude was a forumite.
PSR of course needs some numbers tweaked.

Regarding a battle log, i should be possible to make a client based tool which just collects the data locally. This would of course only show things that affects the players own mech. But it could be interesting.
And it would probably breach every ToU/CoC possible...

- a persistent "live" warring universe affected by the matches I play.
- Quick Play and Faction Warfare merger, without watering down Faction Warfare: each battle should affect the balance in the BT universe.
- Bring back an economy and R&R system.
- Go from a faction system at account level to a faction system at mech level (e.g. I would like to chose the faction to be associated for each mech I have).
- some sort of strategic overlay for Community warfare. Right now it's just voting for a planet and each planet have the same strategic value... Nonsense, at least we should have some basic strategic gameplay here.

One small thing that could be added is new visuals/sounds that modify your UI based on the faction you choose for immersion in the Battletech universe's diverse cultural atmosphere.
So for example...if you don't like ramen, dragons, and seeing 漢字 everywhere you definitely won't be siding with the Draconis Combine.
But if you love those things...you've found a new home Sometimes all the small details combined really add up.
And I for one would LOVE to be able to watch instant replays of matches with the option to save em to disk. But who knows, maybe that's one of the things to be announced at MechCon?
I've been suggesting a 'campaign story mode' for a long time now in various forums here that basically redoes MW2 in MWO and replacing the A.I. pilots with us.
Mission example:
In MW2 first Clan Wolf first mission Pyre Light you were allowed up to a 60 ton Mech so you can pick up any one of those in the selection to your liking.
Over the course of that mission the enemies you will encounter are a Jenner, a Fire Moth, and a Nova. These would be piloted by us other players in a "story mode campaign" game mode. The "enemy pilots" cannot configure their loadouts, but you as the "player" can configure yours. Just like in the original single player campaign MW2 game.
All quirks are disabled for this "campaign play mode."
Even if this campaign play mode is just a rehash of MW2 & MW2 Mercenaries it would be great fun for everyone. Of course, there should be some incentive for the "enemy pilots" such as C-bills, XP, MC, and other prizes (cockpit items, anyone?) for the participation.
It would also be feasible to include a "skill level setting" by doing the following.
Easy: enemies are piloted by tier 5.
Medium: enemies are piloted by tiers 4 and 3.
Hard: enemies are piloted by tiers 2 and 1.

And just for kicks let's throw in an MC option for old hud elements vs "improved hud elements. i'll go back to closed beta mini map (that I can see and read) and predator style thermal vision.
closed beta video just for kicks:
