simple way to help most Assaults,
give Every Problem Assault +30Internal Structure,
this wont stop them from being Striped but it will keep them alive longer,

for the DWF i would also give it +100%Reverse- Speed, & 80* Turn angle(Same as AS7)
the +100%ReverseSpeed gives needed mobility, lets face it the DWF is never going very fast thats not a problem,
the 80* Turn angle allows the DWF to actually Move and aim as its Purpose as a Walking Turret,

It's dead meat when lose side torso. So let's DWF does not lose agility and speed with ST lose. Also give him 80* turn angle and reverse speed +100%.

The Direwolf used to be my absolute favorite mech in ALL the previous MW games, but in this one, it's so slow and sluggish, I don't even own one..

And I've been in the game since closed beta..

If we could just have a bigger engine, it would be ok.. Back in MW4, I would push the speed up to 56Kph, and put on 6 CERLPL's...

Then melt faces... litterally,

My proudest moment was when I was all beat up, and faced Roland Stainer, Direwolf to Direwolf. His was fresh.

I alpha'd his cockpit twice and that was that. No more Roland..

What is the worst assault mech, now that you bring it up? Zeus? Highlander? Executioner? There's a lot of them I never see, so it's hard to tell.

Gargles is the worst. It has the firepower of a medium and speed of a heavy in an assault sized package. Basically it's the Clan version of the main Charger variant. Over-engined and under-gunned, it's the answer to a question no one asked, "Wouldn't it be cool if we turned an Assault mech into a scout??" No, no it wouldn't. It would suck actually.

Oh, and to top it off, as if that weren't bad enough, they thought it'd be funny if on practically all the variants all the weapon hard points were exclusively in the arms. It's as if someone compiled a list of all the things that would make a bad mech and implemented practically all of them on the Gargles.

The Awesome was in the dog house for a long time before that but since the remodeling and quirkening it's probably in a better place. Never piloted one myself so I'm just passing on hearsay.

The Executioner is actually pretty decent. It doesn't really excel at anything so that's why you probably don't see a lot of them, but I've had some solid games in it. I haven't run mine in a while though.

Gargles is actually pretty damn stellar at the close range game, it's just that MWO has little use for Assaults good at the close range game.

Victor is just bad. It is not even the rough IS equivalent to Gargle that it ought to be, and has my vote for worst Assault.

I've pulled some amazing games in gargoyles and absolutely love them, but they aren't a mech meant for abuse. I like to think of them as a more durable nova S, but with less fire power (6 mPLs on this thing can wreak havoc if you are able to keep moving and use cover well.)

I think the speeds for the dire wolf are fine, just the amount of time it takes to get there makes it scream for a pounding if you so much as step out from cover and have to (take your sweat time) to reverse.

You can actually make Gargles into an up-armored, up-heatsinked, non-jumping Nova Prime. I'm not even joking.

Really its PGIs map design philosophy that needs to change. Kill the ability to flank into the enemies rear in 10 seconds, and the DWFs value to the team practically doubles.
But then fast mechs will actually have to work as a team?Don't take their crutches!
