In many of my games, especially when it comes to targeting lights, I've noticed that while my computer is rendering mechs properly, for some reason, the triangular marker and targeting brackets that some of us have come to call "The Dorito" seems to lag a half-second behind the target, especially if I happen to be zoomed in. In a game like this, where most of the time all I can see is grey on slightly less grey grey, obscured by laser glare, opaque crosshair lines, and smoke... it makes shooting at anything with top speeds higher than dire wolves a bit more of a challenge than it needs to be.
I'm still trying to figure out, though... is this a "feature" or a side effect of having a high ping? I don't think it's a hardware issue. It just seems weird to me that while my computer can draw the actual mechs, the little 2D box that is supposed to surround it is trailing behind...
