PGI says they noticed weapons that need to be balanced after the PTS. Do you guys know which ones might be nerfed/buffed? I didn't follow along the whole time.

If I saw correctly, the big ones are the ERLL/LL/LPL series, and the CERPPC.

CERPPC is getting its splash removed and having its damage bumped up to the full 15, but has its CD upped to 6.8sec.
LL/LPL/ERLL is getting burn time reductions across the board, last I checked.

I personally want the AC5 1.5 heat increase, and LRM20 buffs from the PTS.

The final PTS removed the 15 Damage PPC. I doubt they will bring it back.

The Large laser family got "rearranged" throughout the PTS. Most did get duration buffs, but they also got damage nerfs.

Same, but I REALLY don't want the LRM 5 or SRM nerfs.

The nerfs that I remember:

Global 15% firing rate reduction
Cooldown modules nerfed
Heat capacity
Heat dissipation
SRM spread
LRM5 spread and cooldown
IS LL damage, heat, and duration
IS LPL damage and heat
C UAC/20 (longer jam time)
All class-5 Autocannons (massive cooldown nerf, 50% heat nerf)
Gauss Rifle cooldown and max range (2x instead of 3x)
PPC cooldown
Clan LPL damage and range


The buffs:

Clan ERLL
Clan ERML
Maybe IS ERLL (sort of half and half)
LRM 10/15/20 spread
PPC anti-ECM effect duration

From what I remember these were some of the major changes.

1. Global 15% weapon cooldown increase
2. Nerf Cooldown module
3. PPC anti-ecm buff (10 seconds for IS ER PPC)
4. Double Heatsink: Capacity nerf, dissipation buff
5. Dynamic Utra AC jam time/rate. small weapons lower time, lower rate, higher UAC higher jam time/rate.
6. Ultra AC/5 heat increase
7. LRM 5 nerf, LRM 10, 15, 20 buff to cooldown/heat.
8. Large laser and LPL damage nerf
9. Pulse laser cooldown buff
10. Guass Cooldown increase

So expect at least some of these.

Nope, and doing so would be a waste of time. They'd be better off adding IS ERML and Clan HML and balancing against those instead.

It's not that hard.

Restoring the IS ML to 3 heat would create a more distinguished advantage of sustained damage over time at closer ranges, compared to the hotter (now twice the heat) but longer-reaching Clam ERML.

IS LL and ERLL had their durations matched to 1.1 seconds, so that was a very minor buff to the ER and a larger nerf to the standard.

Both are net nerfed due to damage reduction. It was very, very bad.

Gauss max range was nerfed too. It was pretty sad weapon.

To be fair, it was a little strange that the Goose Waffle didn't get the same 2x max range nerf that all other ballistics got during that time period way back when.

And why would this be any better than adding the IS equivalent then balancing them against each other? As for IS Standard ML, balance it against the Clan HML, which has higher heat and takes one more crit space over the IS ML, but has way higher damage.

Barely registered, actually. The longer cooldown did more to hurt it than anything else.
